The angel looked back at this fuzzy man. 'Where am I sitting? Good
question. Good grief.' she thought. She looked at her ticket. Front
row.
"Front row?" she asked, disbelief. 'Well, God has the contacts, I
suppose.'
"Front row? Good golly." the fuzzy man behind her said. He let out a
whistle. "Where did you get it?" he asked, looking at her ticket like
it
was the HolyGrail.
"A friend." was all she could think to say at the moment. Like the guy
would believe God gave it to her. She laughed.
The fuzzy man left her alone after that. The gates opened and everyone
was let in one by one. She didn't have too long to wait.
She wandered in, and checked the ticket. The show started at 8 and it
was only 7:30 so she had time to find her seat. She felt sorely out of
place in what she wore. It seems whoever picked her clothes for her
return had never been to a wrestling show before, or had even heard of
wrestling.
She wore a long white dress with a loose fitting floor-length skirt.
The
neck was deep cut but didn't show anything. The sleeves were fitted but
belled out at the elbows down to the wrist, with eyelet embroidery on
the sleeves and hem of the skirt.
All she was missing were her wings. Her white-blonde hair and pale skin
made her fairly glow.
She finally made her way to her seat. It was near the ramp, but not on
the corner, but still she was on the front row. A good spot to be on
camera, if that is what you wanted. She did not, however, have that
desire.
Angel sat there for what seemed like an eternity, waiting for the
lights
to come down and the show to start. She pondered why she should be sent
here, alone.
All the other people around her had friends or family with them. She
could smell the beer already. Luckily no one was allowed to smoke. She
could hear the people talking quietly, and there was a baby crying
somewhere.
'Who would bring a baby to see wrestling?' she thought. No sooner did
she think this than the lights went down.
The pyro went off, it was too close for her comfort. The crowd stood
up.
She was still sitting, but decided she should stad too. 'When in Rome.'
Then the McMahon-Helmsley's came out, and made their threats. That was
the usual nowadays. The crowd chanted 'asshole' to the couple and their
friends in the ring. And of course the ever-so-popular 'slut' to
Stephanie and Tori.
Angel wondered when the action would start. She yawned. But wouldn't
you
know it, the second she did, the camera caught her. They showed it at
home and on the screen above the ring, but fortunatly not on the
titantron. The man next to her laughed, and elbowed her.
"Good going toots." he pointed to the replay screen as they replayed it
for her benifit. She turned beet red.
The guys in the back saw this on their monitors, and they howled. If
the
chanting in the arena had not been so loud, the guys laughter probably
could have been heard by all.
Finally the chatter by the one in the ring came to a merciful end. And
they went to a commercial, Angel supposed. She was watching the monitor
above the ring as they played the commercials. She took a moment to
look
at her ticket again. It was Monday. so this was a Raw show. She didn't
think it was a pay-per-view as there was no fancy entrance props. Only
the Titantron and the ramp.
When they came back from the commercials, the crowd roared as the
cameras passed overhead. Then she thought her heart stopped beating
when
Jericho's entrance pyro went off. The crowd roared, why the did she
would not know. She found no attraction in this over-zealous windbag.
Jericho came down the ramp and went into the ring. And there he waited
for his opponent. Angel wondered who it would be, she was yawning when
the McMahon-Helmsley's were setting up the matches.
Soon after Jericho came down, The entrance music for Mr. Ass came on.
'Must be a new angle.' she thought. So she sat there through all of the
matches, waiting. For what she didn't know.
It was 10 minues before the show would be over, and soon the final
match
would begin. Angel missed what this one would be too.
The lights came down and that familiar music began to play. The red
pyro
of Kane went off, and only then did her heart start back up from when
Jericho's had stopped it. Then the lights came back up and Paul Bearer
was standing under the Tiantron. 'Have I been away that long?' she
thought. 'When did he come back?'
Paul turned around and motioned for Kane. Kane followed his father down
the ring. The crowd went wild.
Kane stopped at where Angel was standing and tilted his head and looked
at her. She felt a shiver go up and down her spine. Paul stopped and
looked at her and wondered why Kane stopped at her. Very
uncharacteristic of him to do something like that.
'Oh, well,' thought Paul, 'What's done is done. Hope the cameras
didn't
get too much of that.'
Kane jumped into the ring, and he did his flaming ring posts. The pop
of
the crowd and the pyro made Angel's ears ring.
