Fairy
Written By Sinderella Rose

Tarzanna looked around and realized she was back in his hotel room. How do you keep doing that? She asked, looking around. It s magic. I m fairy, just as you are. He whispered, his lips kissing her neck and shoulders. She stiffened in his arms and jerked away from him. That s not funny. She said, taking several steps backward. I m not joking. I m half fairy. My mother is fairy and my father was mortal. What about your parents? Which have fairy blood in them? Glenn asked, walking closer to her. Neither, they are mortals. She said, one hand behind her back feeling for the doorknob. Someone in your family has fairy blood, you have the ears to prove it, the glow, the hearing. Glenn said his eyes focusing on hers. Your eyes are fairy. He said. I don t know what you re talking about. She whispered, her eyes wide and the blue tint surrounding her became brighter. Glenn knew the minute she had the doorknob in her hand and he grabbed her arm, pulling her back to his bed. Sit, I ll explain it to you. He said. Tarzanna just shook her head. I want to go home. She whispered softly. No, not until I explain to you what you are. Glenn said, sitting and pulling her into his lap.

The glow that surrounds you when you are angry, happy, scared, sick or sad. That glow is how fairies show emotion. Fairy s have light colored eyes and the sunlight hurts them, I bet you wear dark sunglasses every time you go outside, even if it s near dark. I ve never seen eyes as light as yours. He said, turning her face to his and staring at her eyes. You re eyes are light colored. She said, somehow controlling the panic that was surging though her. From my mother, I have to wear sunglasses outside. Glenn whispered, his lips coming closer to her mouth. She moved back as far as she could and Glenn stopped, knowing he had to get control over his hormones or he d never get finished.

Fairies have excellent hearing, that is how they know what is going on in the world and can hear each other from far away. I know you glow red when you re angry, blue when you re scared, deep dark pink when you re completely sexually satisfied. Glenn said, giving her a slow grin. Please send me home. Tarzanna whispered, feeling a panic attack coming on. No, you re safe with me. I promise. Glenn whispered, his lips kissing her neck. Tarzanna jerked away from him and walked toward the door. She grabbed the knob but it wouldn t turn. You re not leaving Tarzanna, I want to know more about you. Glenn said, watching her.

You re not funny and I don t appreciate you making fun of me. Don t you think that I ve been teased enough in my life? Look at my ears, do you know how cruel kids can be? I have to wear my hair down ALL THE TIME, even in the middle of summer because of my ears. I was called a vampire because I had to wear sunglasses while in school because the sun would shine through the windows and I couldn t see. Of course you wouldn t know you are like everyone else. You like to make fun of people. I m tried of it, I put up with in in high school and I refuse to put up with it in my adult life. LET ME OUT OF HERE! She finished on a scream, sliding down the wall and wrapping her arms around her legs, rocking back and forth.

Glenn watched in shock as her glow changed from red, to brownish yellow to blue. He got up and went to her, picking her up in his huge arms he walked to the bed and sat down, holding her against him. He reached up and rubbed her ears, trying to calm her down. I want to go home. She whispered, her eyes closed. Sleep Tarzanna, I ll keep you safe. Glenn whispered, laying back on the bed and holding her trembling body to his. His eyes closed as he drifted off sometime later, the last thought on his mind was going to see his mother, maybe she could help him with Tarzanna. Sometime during the night, Glenn rolled over and groaned, a bright light penetrating his eyes. With a quick snap of his fingers, his sunglasses appeared over his eyes and he opened them, his mouth dropping open at the sight of Tarzanna, laying in his arms, a bright white light radiating from her body, her very soul. He watched her the rest of the night, trying to figure out why she was glowing white.

Tarzanna opened her eyes the next morning and groaned, rolling over she reached for the sunglasses she kept on her bedside table. She moved her hand around and couldn t find them. With a soft moan, she pulled her pillow out from under her head and put it over her face. Hey baby, I ve got your sunglasses. She heard and the pillow was moved and then she felt the cool plastic sliding over her ears. Thank you Glenn. She whispered, wrapping her arms around his big one and snuggled up to him, going back to sleep. Glenn grinned and waved his hand at the window, the curtains closed and a thick black cover blocked out the remaining light. Hold on tight. He whispered to her and smiled when he felt her small hands tighten on his arm. They disappeared from the room and into his room at his mom s.

He gently disentangled his arm from her hands and got out of bed, his eyes squinting as the white glow reappeared around her. He walked out of his room and to his mother s door. He knocked softly and wanted until she bid him to enter. Come here and tell me what this is and how to stop it. He said, sticking his head in her door. She followed him down the hall and gasped, seeing the girl laying in his bed. She smiled when she saw the glow and said You can t stop it sweetheart. She backed out of the room and Glenn said What are you talking about? Neither of us glow in our sleep. What s wrong with her? Tink laughed, a soft musical sound and said Honey, men don t glow white, only the women of our race. Who is she? She isn t familiar to me. She s not from the fairy realm.

Glenn bit back a sigh at the way his mother didn t answer his question, he d have to trick it out of her. Her name is Tarzanna and she lives on earth. I found her there. She doesn t know she s fairy. Glenn said, sitting down and watching his mom place his favorite foods in front of him. Eat, you re getting to thin. Tink said, floating up behind him and rubbing his head. When are you coming home to stay? I miss you. She said, laying her small head on top of his. Don t know. This is good, thanks mom. Glenn said, eating his meal with relish. He couldn t get his favorite food on earth, well he could if he wanted to make it himself, but it wasn t as good when he did it as it was when his mom did it. So why does she glow? Glenn asked, hiding his smile when Tink answered.

When our women are old enough to enjoy sex, they glow. Tink said, not realizing that she d answered his question. I don t understand, how do you stop the glow? Glenn asked, his eyebrows knotted together. She will glow for one fairy year, that is what attracts fairy men to marriageable fairy women. That s how the men know they are of age. Tink said, dropping a kiss on his cheek. Malasa doesn t glow. Glenn said. Unless you ve been sleeping in her bed, you wouldn t see it. Tink said, placing more food in front of him. Is that why you want me to claim her? Glenn almost growled. No, you took her virginity and are bound by fairy tradition to make her your mate. Tink said. Glenn rolled his eyes and shook his head. Not going to happen mother. Glenn whispered.

Excuse me, may I go home now? Tarzanna said from a doorway. Glenn swung around and stared at her, the glow was still there. I d like for you to met my mom. Glenn said, getting up and walking over to her. Please, I just want to go home. Tarzanna said, feeling out of place in this strange place. I ll take you home in a minute, I promise, just met my mom. Glenn whispered, pulling her gently into the room.

Tarzanna looked down at the smallest woman she d ever seen and gasped when she floated up to her, touching her face. Who are your family child? Tink asked, not seeing anyone she recognized in her features. My family is mortal. Tarzanna said softly. Who named you? Tink asked. My great grandmother. Tarzanna answered softly. What was her name? Tink asked, running her fingers though Tarzanna s long blond hair. I don t know, my mother never told me. Just that she named me and then died the next day. Tarzanna said, jerking her head away from Tinks hand when she went to touch her ears. Tink raised an eyebrow at Glenn and he shrugged, saying. She doesn t like to have her ears rubbed. Tink smiled and said Ask your mother what your great grandmother s name was and when you come back to visit, you can tell me. Maybe I knew her. Tarzanna nodded her head, thinking she d not be coming back to this place. Tink gave her a secret smile and looked at Glenn. Come and eat, Glenn s already had breakfast, but I ll make you anything you like. Tink said softly, her musical voice filling the air. No thank you, I m not hungry. Tarzanna said softly. She researched myth s all the time but she d never thought about fairies, she didn t know what the complications to being with Tink caused and if she should eat. Before Tink could say anything, there was a knock on her door. She opened it and said Enter friend. She stepped back and in floated a male fairy, he was around Glenn s age but a lot smaller. He floated right up to Tarzanna and smiled at her, ignoring Glenn. He started speaking in a language she didn t understand and she looked at Glenn for help.

Glenn suppressed his groan when Pan floated over to Tarzanna and introduced himself. He hid his smile, however when she looked at him and whispered, I don t understand what he s saying. Glenn smiled and said He said hello and his name is Pan. Before Tarzanna could answer Tink said And he said he d come here to claim you. Glenn shot his mom a dirty look and Tarzanna narrowed her eyes. Looking around Pan she said What do you mean claim me? She asked softly. Tink smiled and said Come my dear, I ll explain to you while Glenn explains things to our guest. Tink grabbed Tarzanna s hand in hers and lead her out of the room.

She doesn t understand our language. Glenn said not bothering to hide his irritation with Pan. What do you mean? She s fairy. Pan said, turning to watch Tarzanna leave with Tink. She s mortal also; she s never been taught our ways. Glenn said, stepping in front of him and blocking his view of her. She is very beautiful; the girls are going to be very jealous of her. Pan said, a wicked grin lighting his features. She s not staying; I just brought her to meet mom. Glenn said, walking to the door and hoping Pan would follow. What s her name? Pan asked, floating after Glenn and trying to look into the kitchen.

Tarzanna. Glenn said; opening the door and pushing Pan out, then slamming it shut. YOU TRICKED ME! Pan shouted. Yes I did. Glenn answered, walking into the kitchen.

Can you explain what you said to me please? Tarzanna asked Tink as soon as they were in the kitchen. You have hit the age of sexual awareness. You will glow white for one fairy year, which is what lets the fairy men know that you are of marriageable age. The glow shows that you are ready to enjoy sex and the brighter you glow when fairy men are around shows how receptive you ll be to sexual pleasure with them. Tink said. How do you stop the glow? Tarzanna asked. You don t my child; it stops itself after one fairy year. In that year you are allowed to discover sexual pleasure with whomever you would like but once that year is up, you are required to marry the one who claimed you. Tink said softly. Explain what involves claiming me. Tarzanna said, fear causing her glow to turn blue. Tink saw the change and wondered about this girl. She did not act like a fairy. Fairy were a conceited lot, they knew they were beautiful and they took great pride in it. They also took great pride in what they could trick away from someone by using their looks, in flirting with someone else s husband to see how long it took him to forget about his wife.

Claiming a female is very simple. The male that tricks you into giving him your virginity is the one who has claimed you. He will let you enjoy learning about sex with whomever you choose but after one fairy year, you will be bound to marry him and start a new life. Tink said softly. As she was explaining this to Tarzanna, she watched her face get more pale. How long is a fairy year? Tarzanna s hoarse voice asked. It is 1000 years in human time. Tink said. She watched Tarzanna sag against the counter and then a bright smile broke across her face. Before she could ask anymore questions, Glenn came into the kitchen.

We have to be going, I ll be home later mom. Love you. He said, buzzing a kiss near her cheek and wrapping his arms around Tarzanna, they disappeared, reappearing in front of her house she smiled, seeing it was night. Thank you for bringing me back home Glenn. She said, pulling out of his arms and turning for the door. TAR! TAR! She heard Luc s voice and looked up, seeing him run down the steps, her mom and dad behind them. TARZANNA! Her mother screamed, grabbing her in her arms and hugging her tight. Her father pulled her into his arms and said Where have you been honey? We ve been worried sick about you. Tarzanna gave a small laugh and said Daddy, I ve not be gone that long, I just brought Luc home and went to talk with my...friend. Tarzanna said, looking at Glenn. Honey, you ve been missing for almost 2 weeks, we ve called everyone, the FBI, CIA, local police and state police. Where have you been? Tarzanna didn t answer, her eyes filled with worry as she looked at Glenn over her father s shoulder.

Glenn couldn t believe it, he couldn t have messed up the spell that was supposed to bring them back to the night of the match, right after she d tucked Luc in bed. He lowered his head and looked at the ground, repeating the spell in his head and couldn t figure out what he d done wrong. I sent you to the correct time son, it s time Tarzanna knew what she is and how it is going to affect her life. I ve taken away your ability to go back in time for now. The next time you come home, I ll be the one sending you back. Tink s voice filled his mind. Glenn controlled his urge to scream at his mother by sheer will and looked at Tarzanna, seeing the emotion s that crossed her face, Glenn said I m sorry sir, we where having so much fun that I forgot the time... He trailed off not knowing what to say. Excuse me? Where have you had my BABY? He dad asked, finishing with a yell. She s been on the road with me. Traveling with me on my job. Glenn said softly, not afraid of this mortal, but not wanting to do something that might make Tarzanna mad at him.

It s ok daddy. I m sorry I didn t call but I swear, I didn t realize how long I d been gone. I was having to much...fun. She finished, hoping her dad would listen to her. You were with Kane and Taker? Luc asked, jumping up and down on the steps. That is so cool. He said when she nodded her head yes at him. Tarzanna, I must go now, I ll see you later. Glenn said, taking a step toward her and pulling her away from her father. I ll see you tomorrow night. Be waiting on me. He whispered, dropping a quick kiss on her lips. No, don t come back, just forget about me. Tarzanna whispered, trying to pull away from him. I can t forget about you, you re fairy and everyone in the realm is going to want to know how you came into existence without their knowledge. Fairy love children and they celebrate the births of every fairy child. They will be disappointed that they missed one. Please just... Tarzanna started but Glenn cut her off with a quick kiss. Until tomorrow night. He whispered and then turned and walked around the corner.

Tarzanna turned and walked up the steps, ignoring her dad s questions about where she d been. She barely heard her mother telling him to be quiet, that a girl need some secrets from her parents, but she missed the smile of pure joy her mother had. It seemed that her daughter finally had a boyfriend.

Tarzanna got to her room and went straight to bed. She wasn t certain how long she d been in the fairy realm, she knew it wasn t very long but her dad insisted she d been gone almost two weeks. She didn t understand. Rolling over, she thought about what Tink had told her and smiled. 1000 human years was one fairy year and she d be long gone before anyone could claim her. She was a bit upset that Glenn hadn t told her what sleeping with him meant to him and his...kind, but she now had no worries about having to marry him, she d be dead and gone in 1000 years. She giggled and rolled over. Her gaze settled on a painting of a fairy on her ceiling and she noticed that the drawing looked similar to the real thing, except in Glenn s case of course but she wondered more about what the myth s were. After a while, she stood and walked over to her computer, turning it on, she logged in and then surfed the web looking for anything and everything she could find on the myth s of fairies.
