Chapter 1
"What do you think of this one?" "Uh Uh." "Yeah, me
either." "Shandra...don't you think you've tried on enough clothes
for tonight? Why don't we go through the rest tomorrow. I'm off tomorrow so it
will be no problem." "Yeah, you're probably right." The
telephone rang interrupting their conversation. "Hello? Oh hey Luke."
Carlianna inwardly groaned as Shandra began talking to her boyfriend. "I'm
gonna go," Carli whispered and Shandra just waved. Carli left Shandra's
house and began walking home as her mind started to wander and took her back to
that terrible night...
"No Luke, Please, Stop!!!" "Shut up bitch!" Carli closed
her eyes as she saw what happened. She put her hand to her cheek as she
remembered him slapping her. She got to her apartment and went inside and
locked the door. She threw her purse on the table and made herself a cup of
coffee before going to bed. She quickly drank it and went upstairs to her
bedroom. She undressed and put her nightgown on. She got under the covers and
almost instantly fell asleep, hoping that her nightmares had stopped.
Carli woke up at 5:00am the next morning. She was always an early riser, but
ever since her incident with Luke, she had been getting less and less sleep.
She took a shower and put on some comfortable clothes and went downstairs. She
put on a pot of coffee and sat down at the kitchen table. When the coffee was
done, she poured herself a cup and then went into the living room to watch a
little tv. Around 10:00am she called Shandra and told her that she was coming
over. She grabbed her purse and keys and headed out the door. She got to
Shandra's about ten minutes later.
"Hey girl." "Hey," Carli answered as she walked into
Shandra's house. "Ready to try on more clothes?" "Hell
yes!" Shandra replied. Carli just rolled her eyes and laughed. The two
girls spent the next couple of hours going through all the clothes that Shandra
had bought the previous day. "Shan, it's 1:00 and I'm hungry. I haven't
had breakfast. You wanna go get some lunch?" "Sure, that sounds
good." Then took Carli's car and went to a small diner a couple of blocks
from Shandra's house. "I think I'm gonna head home after we finish
eating." "Okay. I gotta clean my house sometime today. I keep puttin'
that off." Carli just laughed and said, "Yeah, that's one chore that
I hate doing." They made small talk while they finished eating. Carli paid
the bill and then took Shandra home. "Call me later or somethin',"
Shandra said, as she got out of the car. "Okay," Carli replied.
Shandra closed the door and walked to her house. Carli drove off towards home,
sighing as she decided she had better to some house work also.
When Carli got home she didn't feel like doing anything. So she layed down on
the couch and watched a little tv. She ended up falling asleep about a half an
hour later. When she woke up, it was a quater to 6:00. "Well, at least I
didn't miss Raw!" Carli laughed. Her and Shandra were huge wrestling fans.
Carli's favorites were Undertaker and Kane. But she liked the Undertaker best.
Shandra's two favorites were also Undertaker and Kane, but she had a thing for
Kane. Carli got herself a soda and settled in on the couch to watch Raw! During
a commercial break, they told about the upcoming pay-per view. It was "No Way
Out" and it was going to be held in San Jose, California. Carli quickly
called and got two front row tickets. She finished watching Raw and then called
Shandra right after.
"Oh Luke...thank you!" Shandra said as she admired the shiny, new,
diamond bracelet he had given her. "You are very welcome. It's beautiful,
just like you," he replied smiling. Shandra leaned over and gave him a
kiss. Their kiss was soon interrupted by the phone ringing. "Hello?"
"Hey Shan, it's Carli." "Oh hey Carli, what's up?" An evil
smile appeared on Luke's face when her heard Carli's name. He wanted Carli
again, and he would be damned if he didn't get her. He was determined to finish
what he had started. Shandra's back was to him so of course she didn't see the
look on his face. "Shan...you will never believe what I just did!"
"What did you do?" "I got us front row tickets to "No Way
Out" in one week!" Shandra screamed in excitement and then said,
"Where is it going to be?" "It's in San Jose. You better tell me
that you're coming with me or I will never forgive you!" "Hell yes
I'm coming! Carli, I wouldn't miss this for anything!" "Ooooo...good!
Then I'll call you in a few days and we'll get together and go over
everything." "Ok, I can't wait!" "Me either. Bye."
"Bye."
Carli hung up the phone smiling and then went back to watching tv. Shandra hung
up and went back over to Luke. "What did Carli want?" "Oh, she
got us tickets to a pay-per view wrestling event." "Oh, I see."
Luke didn't like wrestling, but he'd never say anything about it around or to
Shandra, knowing how much she loved it. "Where and when is this wrestling
event taking place?" "Carli said that it was in San Jose in one week.
Why?" "No reason. Just wanted to know where my 'lil punkin' is going
and how much time I have to spend with her before she leaves," Luke said.
Luke and Shandra ended up making love that night. Throughout the whole thing,
Luke imagined it was Carli. No one but him knew it at the time, but he had a
serious obsession with her. Luke left after Shandra had fallen asleep. He
wanted to make plans on how to get to Carli again. Carli had went to bed about
a half an hour after she had gotten the phone with Shandra. She was so excited,
but sleep soon calmed her down.
Chapter 2
The week passed by very quickly. The girls had kept themselves busy to pass the
time. Carli woke up at 6:00am. She got excited, remembering that today was the
day that she and Shandra were leaving. Their flight was in 2 1/2 hours, so
Carli decided that she had better get a move on it. She reached over and shut
the alarm off and slowly climbed out of bed. She made her way to her bathroom
and got into the shower. She quickly got her shower done and got out and dried
herself off. She put on her usual set of flare pants and a tank top. She had
packed the night before, so that was one less thing that she had to worry
about. Once she was all done she looked at the clock. They still had plenty of
time, about an hour and fifteen minutes. She decided to call Shandra and see if
she was ready. She put her bags by the door and then went and dialed Shandra's
number.
"Hello?" "Hey Shan, ya ready?" "Uh...I think so,
yeah." "You wanna go grab a quick bite to eat and a cup of coffee
before the flight?" "Sure, why not?" "I'll be over in a few
minutes then." "Alright, bye." "Bye." Carli hung up
the phone and made sure she had everything. Then she took her luggage out to
the car and put it in the trunk. She ran back to the house and made sure
everything was turned off and locked up. Then she headed over to Shandra's.
Shandra waited by the window in the living room for Carli to show up. When she
saw her pull up she opened the door, grabbed her luggage, and headed out the
door. She put her bags down by the car and then headed back to the house. Carli
put Shandra's bags in the trunk while Shandra checked everything over and
locked everything up.
When everything was done, they both got in the car and headed down to the
little diner a few blocks away. They quickly ate a light breakfast and they had
a small coffee. Then they headed to the airport. They got to sit down as they
had ten minutes to spare. Unbeknownst to them...Luke had managed to get on the
same flight without them seeing him. He sat in the back of the plane and
watched them take their seats. He vowed to get Carli as the plane taxied down
the runway.
"Carli? Carli, wake up." "What?" Carli asked sleepily as
Shandra shook her. "The plane is going to be landing in a few
minutes." "Oh...thanks for waking me up." "No
problem." After the plane landed, the girls took a cab to the hotel, with
Luke following in a cab of his own. They checked into the hotel and got
separate rooms for means of privacy. They lucked out as there were only two
rooms left as the WWE wrestlers were staying at that same hotel as well. The
show was to start in three hours, so the girls decided that they would meet in
a couple of hours down in the lobby.
A couple hours later, Carli was walking into the lobby. "Wow, Car, you
look good!" "You think so?" "Yeah." Carli was wearing
black dress pants, black dress shoes, a nice, tight, white turtle-neck shirt,
with no sleeves, that went perfectly with the dress pants, and a light, black
jacket. Her hair was up in sort of a messy bun with a few of the curls hanging
down around her face. She looked great! "You look good too, Shan!"
Shandra was wearing a tight and very short black skirt, a tight, red, spaghetti
strapped shirt, black dress shoes like Carli's, and a white jacket. Her hair
was down and curled slightly. Both girls had beautiful, thick hair. Shandra had
blonde hair, while Carli had brown hair with natural blonde streaks. Everyone
loved her hair. "Don't I always look good?" Shandra asked, smiling.
"You are way too stuck on yourself," Carli said, giggling
Both girls had good reason to be proud of their bodies. Both were skinny, but
not skin and bones. They looked like two girls who kept themselves in shape and
worked out on a regular basis, giving them a sort of athletic look. But they
weren't too muscular, they were just right. They were very sexy and they were
flirted with constantly. The girls were very different personality and
confidence wise. Shandra was bright and very confident, while Carli usually
kept to herself and wasn't as confident. She didn't think that she was pretty
or any of that stuff. Shandra, on the other hand, would show off her body every
chance she got. "You ready to go?" "Hell yeah!" Shandra
said, jumping up and down. The two girls left the hotel, ready for a night of
fun.
Chapter 3
It took all of an hour to get to the arena, get inside, and find their seats.
The girls couldn't wait for the show to start. They were all smiles. They each
let out a squeal of excitement when the pyrotechnics started, signaling the
start of the event.
There were the smaller matches and then there were the bigger matches. They
were in the middle of the HHH vs. Shawn Michaels match when Kevin Nash came
out. The girls were having a hard enough time deciding who they wanted to win.
Then you add "Big Sexy" to the picture and woo hoo! Nash helped HBK
get the win over HHH. The girls didn't mind, they all three guys. The night had
passed by quickly and there was only a half an hour left of the show. The main
event was a tag team match for the World Tag Team Titles. It was The Undertaker
and Kane vs. The Big Show and A-Train. This fued had been going on for awhile.
The match had started out good. But then it got more brutal and moved to the
outside of the ring. Kane and A-Train were fighting on one side of the ring,
while 'Taker and Big Show were fighting on the other side, right in front of
the girls. 'Taker threw Big Show over the barrier and then climbed over
himself. The plan was for 'Taker to go for a clothesline on Big Show. But Big
Show would duck and 'Taker would lose his footing and fall. 'Taker waited for
Big Show to stand up and turn around. When he did, 'Taker went for the
clothesline. Someone in the crowd ended up pushing Shandra in their excitement.
Shandra fell into Carli and Carli got pushed into 'Taker's path. So when Big
Show ducked, Carli caught the clothesline. 'Taker really did lose his footing
and he fell with Carli.
'Taker stared in shock as he didn't know what had happened. Big Show knew that
they couldn't just stop the match, so he pretended not to care and he grabbed
'Taker and headed back to the ring. Carli was out cold and the emts were there
almost immediately. They manuevered a stretcher through the crowd and finally
got Carli onto it. They took her and a worried Shandra backstage. When they
reached the little office where the doctor was stationed, Carli was starting to
come around. They got her off the stretcher and into the doctor's office. The
doctor examined her and she was relieved to hear that there were no internal
injuries. He gave her some medicine for her headache and told her just to sit
there for a few minutes and rest.
Undertaker and Big Show finished the match as quickly as they could. Kane and
A-Train were wondering what was goin on. 'Taker pinned Show for the win and the
titles, and then he left the ring. Kane almost had to run to keep up with him.
"What the hell is wrong with you? Why are you in such a hurry?" Kane
asked, once they were behind the curtain. 'Taker grabbed one of the emts by the
shirt, "Hey...where'd you take the girl?" The guy pointed to the
office and 'Taker pushed him away and headed toward the office. He quietly
entered and saw Carli bent over with her hand to her head and Shandra talking
to her. Both girls looked up when Kane and 'Taker entered. 'Taker went over and
kneeled in front of Carli. "Are you alright?" "Yes, thank
you." "Are you sure? I'm sorry...that wasn't supposed to
happen." "It's okay...it wasn't your fault." Just then Vince
came in. "What the hell just happened out there?!" "Vince, it
was a total accident." "Are you alright miss?" "Yes
sir," Carli answered softly. "I want to leave. I don't feel
comfortable," she whispered. "Alright," Shandra answered as she
grabbed their jackets and stuff.
When the girls stood to leave, Vince and 'Taker stopped argueing. "Would
you like to spend the rest of the evening back here? We're having a special
party, and to show you how sorry we are, you're invited to come, if you'd
like." "No thanks...we should be getting back to the hotel." As
Shandra was answering Vince, Carli had to sit down because she was starting to
get dizzy. "You okay Car?" "Yeah, can we just go?"
"Thanks anyway Mr..." "McMahon." "Mr. McMahon."
Before the girls reached the door, 'Taker spoke. "I really am sorry, miss."
Carli just smiled, and then her and Shandra headed back to the hotel.
"What was that all about?" "I clotheslined her." "You
what?!" "It's hard to explain. I don't know what happened."
'Taker played the accident on the monitor and Kane watched in silence.
"Well...that was..." "Look, let's just forget about it,
okay." "Alright, man." "Are you two going to be there
tonight?" "Yeah Vince, we're coming." The three of them then
left the office.
Chapter 4
Shandra and Carli arrived at the hotel, and after saying goodnight, went to
their rooms. Carli sat in her room thinking about The Lord of Darkness. Yes,
she had wanted to meet him, but not that way. Her headache was slowly going
away and she was starting to get a little hungry. Deciding that she could wait
until breakfast, she settled for just something to drink. Instead of staying in
her room, she decided to go down to the little restaurant. She grabbed her
briefcase and purse, making sure her key-card was in there, and headed
downstairs.
She had brought her work along with her, deciding that she would do some of it.
But then again, she took her work everywhere with her. It was a habit. Carli
was a workaholic and her boss would constantly tell her to slow down and take
it easy, but she would never listen. Now she gets a chance at a real vacation
with her best friend, and she can't leave her work for a few days. She silently
scolded herself for ruining things as she made her way down the hall to the
elevators.
"CARLI!" "What the hell?" Carli said as she rolled over in
bed. She hadn't gotten to bed until about 3:30-4:00am and now, at 6:30am,
Shandra was banging on her door. "CARLI!" Shandra screamed again.
Soon people started coming out of their rooms to see what was going on. Shandra
looked around at all the people, and noticing that they were all wrestlers, she
blushed and softly said, "Sorry, this'll only take a minute." Then
she turned back to the door and started banging on it again. "CARLIANNA
MARIE, YOU OPEN THIS DOOR RIGHT NOW!"
Almost the minute after Shandra finished yelling that, the door flew open and there
stood an annoyed looking Carli, bare foot, in shorts and a t-shirt. Shandra
grabbed her by the arms and, not thinking, pulled her out of the room.
"Where the hell were you this morning? You were supposed to meet me. I was
really worried!" Carli stood there and then started to say something, but
Shandra beat her to it. "Explain it to me later. Right now, why don't you
get dressed." "How the hell am I supposed to get dressed when I'm
locked out of my room, thanks to you!" Shandra started to say something,
but quickly shut her mouth as Carli continued. "An I'm sorry, but I am NOT
going down to the lobby like this..." she said, pointing to herself,
"to get another key!" "Okay, Okay, I'll go get you another
key," Shandra said and then left to go down to the lobby.
Carli watched Shandra go and then sat down on the floor with her back against
the door. She looked nervously around at everybody, wondering why she hadn't
noticed them before. Almost immediately Shandra came back, but she wasn't
alone. Carli stood up, expecting to get back into her room. The wrestlers
hadn't gone back into their rooms either. They were finding this quite
interesting...especially the two at the end of the hall.
Shandra was about to just go into her room when Carli spoke, "Uh...Shandra?"
"Oh...Carli. I'm sorry, but I didn't get your key. Look who I ran into?
Isn't this great? Now we can all hang out together." Then her and Luke
went into the room and closed the door. Carli just stood there not knowing what
to think. Then Shandra's door opened and Luke came out. "Hey Carli, how's
it goin'?" Carli just looked at him and then turned to head down to the
lobby. Luke grabbed her and pulled her back, and slammed her up against the
wall so hard, that it almost knocked the air completely out of her. "I was
talking to you! Don't you know that it is rude to ignore people?" He had
her arms pinned roughly to her sides. "Oww, Luke, please let go?"
Carli begged. Obviously Luke hadn't seen the people in the hallway or he
wouldn't have grabbed her in the first place.
His grip tightened, causing Carli to whimper in pain. "I want you Carli,
and I will h ave you." He kissed her roughly and pushed himself away from
her just as Shandra opened her door. "Hey you two, what's going on?"
Shandra asked cheerfully. "Oh...nothing, we were just talking. Carli was
telling me how the wrestling event was. Isn't that right Carli?" Shandra
looked at Carli while Luke was glaring at her, silently warning her not to say
anything. Carli nervously nodded her head in agreement, "Yeah...just
talking." "Oh, arlight then. I'll see you tonight Car, okay."
Shandra replied. Then her and Luke walked off.
Carli stood there, pressed up against the wall. She lowered her head and took a
deep breath. She jumped when someone touched her shoulder. Carli looked up,
startled, and found herself looking into the eyes of The Undertaker. "You
okay?" he asked softly. Carli looked down and nodded. "Yes...I...I'm
fine, thank you," she answered, her voice quivering as she was fighting
back her tears. She looked back up at him and gave a small smile, hoping it
didn't look as fake as it felt. They didn't say anything for a second and then
Carli spoke, "I...I should go get a key." "Why don't you come to
my room? You can use the phone in there instead of going all the way down to
the lobby." Carli was going to politely refuse, but before she could say
anything, The Undertaker took her hand and started walking towards his room.
Everyone else looked on, shocked that he was helping someone.
Chapter 5
Carli jumped as The Undertaker shut the door behind her. Then he walked past
her, over to the mini bar. "Would you like something to drink?" Carli
just shook her head no. "The phone is over there," he pointed to a
little table with the phone on it, then went back to making his drink. When he
was finished, he turned around and saw that Carli was staring at him and hadn't
moved from the spot where he left her.
He walked over to her and put his hand on her shoulder. He could feel her
trembling. "What's the matter? Are you afraid of me or somethin'?" At
his words Carli saw what happened that night. "What's wrong bitch? Do I
scare you?!" She gasped and backed away from him. She was shaking her head
and her eyes were wide. Her back pacing stopped when her back came into contact
with the wall. Undertaker went toward her and she started pleading with him.
"No, please, don't come any closer!" Undertaker wanted to calm her
down. He didn't know what he had said or done, but he wanted to find out.
"Carli, what's wrong?" he asked as he went toward her. Carli slid
down the wall until she was sitting on the floor. She wrapped her arms around
her knees and buried her face in her arms, and started crying. Undertaker
approached her slowly and knelt down in front of her. He gently touched her
shoulder and she lifted her head and looked at him. Still crying, she lowered
her eyes and softly said, "I'm sorry." "Shhh...don't be sorry.
What's wrong?" "It...it's nothing," Carli said sniffling.
"Nothin'? It obviously wasn't just nothin'. Somethin' had to have made you
act this way." Carli, remembering her flashback, started crying again. She
felt so foolish for freaking out the way she did. She couldn't stop it though,
all she saw was Luke. Undertaker, feeling bad for her, hesitantly pulled her to
him. Never really being in a situation like this before, he just did what he
thought he should do. He held her to him and tried to comfort her.
Carli felt so rediculous. Realizing how awkward this must be for him, she
quickly got herself together and pulled away from him. "Thank you...maybe
I should go call for another key now," she said softly. Undertaker nodded
and stood up. He held out his hand and helped her up. All of a sudden, Carli
became very aware of his size and felt fear gripping her. She quickly walked to
the phone and dialed down to the lobby, wanting nothing more then to get out of
his room and back to the safety of her's.
Carli hung up the phone and slowly turned around. Undertaker was looking at her
and she again felt afraid. "Uh...they...they hung up on me," she said
nervously. "They hung up on you?" Carli nodded. "What the hell
kind of people do they got workin' here?" he slightly yelled. He didn't
know why he was getting upset and that made him even more angry. Carli jumped
and then made her way toward the door.
"No, wait, I'm sorry," Undertaker said, gently grabbing her arm. He
didn't know why he didn't just let her leave. He wanted her to stay for some
reason. "I...I...I..." Carli couldn't get anything out. She was
terrified of him, he was huge. Tears came to her eyes and she started trembling
again. She wanted to start bawling, but she was trying to hold it in. Little
sobs were escaping her and Undertaker realized that he had scared her again.
Just like earlier, he pulled her to him in an effort to comfort her. He pulled
gently on her arm, urging her closer to him. "Come here," he said
softly. Carli didn't want to be any closer to him, but she couldn't stop
herself from moving into his embrace.
"I'm sorry," he softly said. Carli held onto the front of his shirt
as she cried. "Shhh...it's okay, I'm sorry." Undertaker surprised
himself with his actions. He was usually cold and unfeeling towards people and
didn't feel emotion like he was now. All he was used to feeling was hatred. That's
what shocked him. At the arena when they had the accident, he expected to feel
hate towards her for getting in the way, even though it wasn't her fault.
Instead, he found himself hurrying through the match so that he could get
backstage and find out whether she was okay or not. And right now, he didn't
want her to leave. All he wanted to do was comfort her. He couldn't bring
himself to be cold towards her.
Carli got herself together as best she could and pulled back from him.
"I...I'm sorry," she said, wiping at the wet spot on his shirt.
Undertaker smiled and stopped her hand. "It's okay," he said, smiling
down at her. Carli stopped and looked up at him. She noticed that her hand was
still against his chest and she tried to pull away. Undertaker's hand tightened
over her's as he stepped closer to her. Carli stepped back and Undertaker
stepped forward again, still keeping her hand pressed against him. Carli again
stepped back and Undertaker followed. They kept this up until Carli's back was
against the wall and they could go no further. Carli tried moving her hand away
but Undertaker held it firmly in place.
"Undertaker...ple..." Call me 'Taker," he interrupted.
"'Taker, please, let go!" "Why are you afraid of me?" he
asked. "I...I...I..." "Calm down, just tell me why you are
afraid of me." "I...I...please." Carli didn't know what 'Taker
was trying to do, but she didn't like it. "What is wrong? I bring you into
my room, offer you a drink, let you use the phone, and you go and flip out. I
think I deserve an explanation," Undertaker said. He could feel his
patience fading and he was beginning to get angry. He let go of her hand and
put each one of his hands on the wall on either side of her head. He could see
that Carli wasn't going to answer him. He didn't like being ignored, by anyone,
no matter who it was. He leaned down so that his eyes were level with her's.
"Are you gonna answer me, little girl?" Carli could hear the change
in his tone of voice and knew that he was mad. "Great, I made him mad, now
what am I gonna do?" she thought to herself. Carli just stared at him. She
just wanted to go back to her room. Undertaker slammed his fist into the wall
beside her head in frustration. Carli screamed and tried to run but he grabbed
her before she could push past him. He held her against the wall and tried to
calm down. Immediately Carli began to apologize. "I'm sorry, please, I
didn't mean to make you mad, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry," she said, as tears
streamed down her face. Undertaker felt himself soften at the sight of her and
the fear in her voice. He again had the urge to comfort her.
"Dammit!" he yelled, as he pushed himself away from her. He didn't
want to feel emotion like that...he wasn't supposed to feel emotion like that.
He was The Lord of Darkness. He was supposed to be a monster. "I am a
monster!" he hissed evilly to himself. He could feel his
"character" coming over him. It happened every once in awhile. He
couldn't control it, so he had learned to just accept it. The darkness was a
part of him, of who he was.
Carli stood against the wall, not knowing what to do. She knew that she had
angered him and she didn't know how to fix it. She looked over at him and could
tell that he was deep in thought. He back was to her and his hand were oh his
hips, and his head was down. 'Taker was able to get his "other half"
somewhat under control. "Just help her get another key-card and then send
her back to her room," he thought to himself. He slowly turned around to
face her. "I'll be right back...don't leave," he said through
clenched teeth. Carli just stared at him and watched as he left the room. Once
he was gone, she took several deep breaths to try and calm herself. She slid
down the wall to a sitting position on the floor. She pulled her legs up and
wrapped her arms around them. She started crying and then saw the things that
happened that terrible night.
She saw him standing there, waiting for her to run. She did, but he caught her.
He threw her back toward the bed and wrestled her down. She tried to fight him
off, but he was too big and strong. She pleaded with him but he slapped her.
"What's wrong bitch? Do I scare you?" She saw him touching her. She
could still feel it. She was brought back to reality when the door opened. She
stayed where she was, too afraid to move. She looked up at 'Taker as he walked
into the room. He walked over to her and held out a key-card. "Here is you
key. Now you can leave!" Carli hesitantly took the key from him.
He walked to the door and held it open. Carli stood up and slowly walked to the
door. She stopped next to him and turned to face him. "Thank you,"
she softly said. 'Taker just stared back at her with a scowl on his face. Tears
came to Carli's eyes and she lowered her head and walked out. She made her way
down the hall to her room, and the last thing she heard, was the sound of
'Taker's door slamming.
'Taker stood there for a minute after slamming the door. He was a little
confused at what had just happened. "That girl did nothing wrong, and yet
you treated her badly!" "No! She did everything wrong! She just
wanted you to feel sorry for her!" 'Taker shook his head. He was argueing
with his "other half" again. "I've got to stop this," he
said, as he got ready to check out. He was meeting Kane, Triple H, Brock, and
the McMahons for breakfast. A few minutes later, there was a knock at his door.
He opened the door to find the group waiting for him. "You ready
man?" Kane asked. "Yeah, just let me get my bags." 'Taker
grabbed his bags and key-card, and headed out of the room. They caught the
elevator just in time.
Carli was standing in the elevator, her eyes all read and puffy from crying.
She looked up when someone stopped the doors from closing. Her eyes widened in
fear when she saw 'Taker. 'Taker stood right beside her in the elevator, which
made her even more uncomfortable and afraid. He reached over and pressed the
button for the lobby, leaning into her as he did so. Everybody was standing
behind them, watching with interest. As the elevator started to move, 'Taker
spoke, "I'm sorry...for what happened earlier." Carli kept her head
down as she answered him. "It...it's okay," she said, her voice
shaking. 'Taker noticed, and felt bad for what he had done. "Don't feel
bad, she deserved it! You shouldn't be apologizing to her!" the little
voice scolded. The rest of the way down was quiet.
The elevator bell sounded, indicating that they had reached the lobby. The
doors opened and everyone stepped off. 'Taker watched Carli as she checked out
and then left the hotel. There was something about her that intrigued him. He
decided that he wanted to find out as much as he could about her. An evil smirk
appeared on his face as he realized how much this could be. He then walked up
to the front desk and checked out.
Chapter 6
"So...you see anyone you like?" Jim asked. "You know...I think I
found the one I want," Vince answered. "Which one's that?"
"Her," Vince replied, pointing at the file with the woman's picture.
"Alright, I can have her ready in a couple days." Alright. Thanks
Jim." "You bet. It's always a pleasure to do business with you."
Jim left Vince's office and headed back to his across town. He and Vince had
been good friends since high school and both ended up being successful
businessmen. Every time Vince was in town, they would get together before the
show. This time Vince mentioned that he needed an accountant. But not just any
person would do. This person had to be able to do other jobs as well. Someone
who wouldn't complain. He saw Carli's picture in her file and remembered her
from the elevator. He figured if she could stand next to someone like 'Taker
without backing away, then she had courage. What he didn't know, what that
Carli and 'Taker had already had a little incident before the elevator ride. He
also remembered her from the show. He thought her pretty tough as she had
survived a clothesline from 'Taker. He was looking forward to meeting his new
accountant. He just hoped that she would be able to make it in the company.
Meanwhile......
"Well, what did you find out?" "Her full name is Carlianna Marie
Johnston, she's 22 years old, and an accountant from Sacramento, California.
She's single and has no family except for her mother. Her best friend is
Shandra Stevenson and her boyfriend Luke is a bit part of the picture. From
what I've seen, she doesn't like Shandra's boyfriend. She doesn't talk when
he's around unless she absolutely has to. From the looks of things, something
has happened between her and this Luke fellow, I just don't know what
yet." 'Taker looked at Gangrel carefully. "Well keep watching her. I
want to find out everything, especially what happened between her and Luke. I
don't want her harmed though. I don't want anyone laying a hand on her. I will
make my move when I am ready. Before you leave, go get Paul, he should've been
her by now, it's almost time for my match. "Yes master," Gangrel
said, than hurried out of the room.
A few minutes later, Paul rushed into the room, huffing and puffing from
running. "You wanted to see me, 'Taker?" "Bearer, where have you
been? You should've been here a long time ago! It's time for my match!"
'Taker yelled. "I'm sorry. I was..." "Nevermind. I don't have
time for you to explain right now. Let's go!" 'Taker and Paul left the
locker room and headed toward the curtain. The last thing 'Taker thought about
before he stepped through the curtain was Gangrel getting more information and
soon, very soon, Carli would be his. With an evil smirk, he stepped through the
curtain when his music started, ready to dominate his opponent.
"I'm comin', I'm comin'," Carli said as her dog Jake started barking
like crazy. She put down her book and headed toward the back yard. She was
dressed in her pajamas, shorts and a t-shirt. She opened the back door and
found Jake barking and sniffing at the gate. "Jake, come here," she
called. Jake wouldn't come to her though. "Come on boy," she called
again. She stepped outside and headed over towards the gate. She grabbed Jake
by the collar and started to head back to the house.
She turned around and bumped into someone. "Luke! W...what are you doing
here?" "I'm here to finish what I started," he replied evilly.
Carli let go of Jake and started running toward the house. She got just inside
the door when Luke caught her. Gangrel was watching from the trees. He wasn't
sure if 'Taker wanted him to show himself or not. So he rushed back to the
arena to inform 'Taker of what was happening.
Carli and Luke fell to the floor and Carli immediately tried to crawl away.
Luke grabbed her ankle, so she kicked with her other foot. She managed to kick
him in the face which made him let go. She quickly got up and started running.
She ran down the hall to the stairs. She saw Luke get up and she ran up the
stairs as fast as she could. Luke was just a little bit faster though. He
reached her at the top of the stairs. He grabbed her by her hair and started
dragging her toward her room. He threw the door open and shoved her into the
room.
"'Taker, 'Taker!" Gangrel yelled as he burst into the dressing room.
"What the hell?" 'Taker said as he turned around.
"'Taker...Carli...some guy...her house!" Gangrel said, out of breath.
"What?!" Gangrel took a deep breath and then began to explain.
"I was watching Carli like you told me to and some guy attacked her! I
think it was Luke. I wasn't su..." he trailed off as 'Taker stormed out of
the room.
Carli lost her balance and fell to the floor. She got to her knees but wasn't
able to stand up because Luke backhanded her, knocking her to the floor again.
He kicked her in the stomach which had her doubling over in pain. He then
picked her up and threw her on the bed. He climbed on top of her and tried to
take her clothing off but Carli started to fight back. He was able to get her
shirt off, but he was having trouble with her shorts. Carli was screaming and
crying and kicking and hitting him, doing everything that she could think of in
hopes that he would stop.
All of a sudden, Luke felt himself being lifted into the air. He was then
thrown across the room, where he hit the wall. 'Taker turned to see Carli
sitting on the bed, staring at him, in shock. He noticed that she was in her
bra and shorts, which told him what Luke's intentions were. He then took notice
of the small cut on her bottom lip and the cut on her right cheek. The sight of
her made his blood boil. He could feel the rage building inside of him and his
dark side emerging.
He turned around to see Luke picking himself up off the floor. He stalked
toward him and picked him up by his throat. He started punching him, enjoying
the pain-filled screams that were coming from him. He slammed him up against
the wall a couple of times and then let him drop to the floor after he had
passed out. He then turned to look at Carli.
'Taker slowly walked over to the bed and looked down at Carli. She was trying
to cover herself with the blankets on the bed. She was still staring at him,
her eyes wide. 'Taker saw the fear in them as well as the tears, that were
ready to fall at any moment. The cut on her cheek and bottom lip were bleeding
slightly and a bruise was forming on her cheek. 'Taker looked at Carli's
t-shirt, lying on the floor, torn.
He and his alliance had watched her close enough to know where her things were.
He walked over to her dresser and opened the appropriate drawer and pulled out
a t-shirt. He threw it at her and she hesitantly started to put it on. She
winced in pain and 'Taker noticed the big bruise already forming just below her
ribs. Again, his anger started rising. He still wanted to follow through with
his plan; which was to have her fear him...and more! He smiled an evil smile,
thinking of the things that he could do to her. The only reason he saved her
was because he considered her his. No one was allowed to touch her! He then
walked over to an unconscious Luke, picked him up and threw him over his
shoulder, and then left the house.
Carli sat there for a few minutes, trying to figure out what just happened. She
decided that from now on, her life would be different. She was going to change.
The wall around her heart and emotions had built quickly and it was going to be
hard to break. Carli had no idea just how much her life was going to
change...and how soon. The wall she had built would soon be nothing but a pile
of dust.
Chapter 7
Carli woke up to the alarm clock going off. It was the same routine every
morning. She would get up, take a shower, get dressed, do her hair and make-up,
and then leave. It had been a week since the incident with ‘Taker and Luke and
the wall that Carli had built that night seemed to be getting stronger.
Everyone around her had noticed the change in her. Even Jim had noticed.
Carli got to work and noticed that there was a note on her desk, telling her
Jim wanted to see her in his office. She set her purse down and headed to Jim’s
office. She knocked on the door and entered when she heard him say come in.
“Ahh, Carli, come in and have a seat.” Carli shut the door and went over to sit
in one of the chairs facing his desk. “As you know, many companies do business
with us. A friend of mine, Vince McMahon, is in need of an accountant. Vince is
the owner of a big sports-entertainment company called the WWE. He went through
some of the employee files and he’s chosen you.” Jim stopped to let Carli grasp
all the information. Carli didn’t say anything. “So, do you think you can do
it?” “Yes,” was all she said. Jim nodded. “I need you ready by the end of the
day. You’ll be flying out in the morning to meet with Vince in Philadelphia.”
Carli nodded and got up and left. Jim sighed heavily. He didn’t know what was
up with her. He had noticed the change in her and he didn’t like it. He missed
the old Carli, the one who would laugh and smile, and interact with her
co-workers. He couldn’t help but worry about her.
“You will soon join me!” “NOOO!” Carli screamed in pain as she felt the sharp
blade of the dagger cut into her skin. Carli shot straight up in bed, covered
in sweat and breathing heavily. She started looking over herself, checking for
cuts and so forth. She breathed a sigh of relief when she didn’t find anything.
She was confused. This dream was different. Usually she dreamt of Luke trying
to harm her again. She slowly started to wonder if maybe this dream meant
something. She quickly dismissed it as she looked at the clock. She had to get
ready so she wouldn’t miss her flight.
Carli walked through the doors of the arena, with the piece of paper in hand. A
message had been left at the airport for her with instructions and directions.
She looked around at all the huge wrestlers and other staff that were milling
around backstage. For the first time, since she had built that wall around
herself, she felt nervousness and a little twinge of fear. The directions on
how to get to the arena were fairly easy as she had no trouble finding it. The
instructions was what she was having trouble with. She looked down at the
pieced of paper again. “Go to Mr. McMahon’s office. That would be a lot easier
if I knew where it was,” she said to herself. She walked further into the arena
and after spending about 20 minutes looking for his office and not finding it,
she finally stopped someone and asked them. They pointed her in the right
direction, and 5 minutes later, she was knocking on Vince’s door.
“Come in.” Carli opened the door and walked in. “Come in and have a seat. I’ll
be right with you,” Vince said, signing some papers. Carli closed the door and
walked over to one of the chairs and sat down. Vince signed that last paper and
put them all in a manila envelope and sealed it. Then he turned and looked at
her. “You must be Carli.” Carli nodded. “I’m Vince McMahon, owner of the WWE.”
He paused and then continued. “Did you find the place alright?” “I found the
arena okay, but I had trouble finding your office. Someone didn’t write any
directions on how to get to your office, just that I was supposed to come
here.” Vince was a little surprised at her tone. He noticed the difference in
her since the last time he had seen her. “I’m sorry. I’ll have them be sure to
write better directions next time.” Carli just nodded. “Okay…well…to get you
started, I have some papers and a contract for you to sign. After that, I’ll
send for one of the divas and she can show you around and introduce you to some
people. That way you can feel more comfortable.” Carli didn’t say anything and
Vince made a mental note to call Jim and see what was up.
It took about 15 minutes for Carli to read over everything and get it signed.
Just as she was finishing up, someone knocked on the door. She heard Vince say
come in and then a lady walked in. Carli noticed her clothes and thought them a
little strange. She gathered the papers, stood up, and walked over to Vince. He
took the papers saying, “thank you,” and then made introductions. “Carli, I’d
like for you to meet Lita, one of the many lovely and talented divas that we
have working for this company. Lita, this is Carlianna, she’s one of the new
accountants. I want you to show her around, introduce her to a few people so
she can get a feel for things around here.” “No problem,” Lita said, heading
for the door. “Come on, we’ll start in the women’s locker room and you can meet
all of the girls.” Carli nodded, agreed to meet Vince back in his office at the
end of the day, and then left with Lita.
Lita introduced Carli to all of the girls, a few stage hands, Janet who works
in make-up, and Jim Dotson, head of security. They were walking back stage, and
Lita was pointing out people, telling Carli what their jobs were. “And that’s
Goldust. He’s a weird one. So is the Hurricane, which is standing right over
there.” Carli didn’t show any emotion. Not a smile or anything. She didn’t even
smile when she met the girls. Lita was silently wondering what Carli’s problem
was. “That is The Undertaker and his ministry. Stay clear of them, they’re bad
news.” Carli looked over in their direction. She knew who The Undertaker was.
She wasn’t going to tell Lita that. Gangrel looked over and saw her looking at
him. His eyes widened in shock and recognition. He ran over to ‘Taker and said
something. ‘Taker slowly turned his head to see what Gangrel was talking about.
He smiled evilly when he saw her. Then he turned back around. Carli, confused,
turned around to go catch up with Lita. Soon, the tour was over and Carli had
to go meet Vince. He had called Jim while she was with Lita, but he didn’t know
what was up with her either.
“Carli…you read the part in the contract where you might be doing other jobs
other than accounting, did you not?” “I did.” “Well, I have another job lined
up for you.” She looked at Vince skeptically, waiting for him to continue. “I
want you to be a PA.” “A PA?” “Yes. A personal assistant.” “And…uh…who’s
personally assistant?” “The Undertaker’s,” Vince answered slowly. Carli wasn’t
going to let Vince see her fear. She wasn’t going to let anybody see her
fear…not even The Undertaker. “You won’t have to be around him all the time.
You just have to update his schedule(s), make sure he gets to the autograph
sessions and interviews, make sure he has his costumes and ring attire/gear,
stuff like that. You can check that before and after the shows. Other than
that, you’re free to do what you want. When I need the accounting done, I’ll
send someone for you. You’ll get paid for both jobs, so don’t worry.” Carli
just nodded. Vince gave her a copy of ‘Taker schedule and all the stuff that
she needed to know. “You’ll be following his schedule.” Carli said, “thank
you,” and then left his office. “I hope she lasts longer then his other PAs,”
Vince said. Then he went back to work. Carli headed to the women’s locker room
to talk to Lita. She wanted to get as much information as she could.
It was about 10:00pm. “Well I gotta get to the hotel. Matt’s probably wondering
where I am. You should head out too, everybody’s already gone.” “Yeah, I
should. Thanks for all of your help, Lita.” “Hey, no problem. Anytime you need
help, you know who to come to.” Carli nodded and watched as Lita left the
locker room. Carli put her stuff into the briefcase and then grabbed it and her
purse and walked out. As she rounded the corner, someone grabbed her and put a
soaked cloth over her nose and mouth. She tried her best to fight and not
breath in the chloroform, but eventually she needed air and had not choice but
to breath in. She could feel herself getting light headed. She knew that in a
matter of seconds she wouldn’t be awake. The last things she saw before she
closed her eyes was a man, a big man with long black hair.
‘Taker opened the door to his dressing room and found the Acolytes standing
there, holding an unconscious Carli. ‘Taker stepped aside to let them in. They
layed her down on the couch and stood and waited for further instructions.
“’Taker?” Paul hesitantly said. ‘Taker turned to look at him. “What are we
gonna do? Everybody except security is gone. They’ll be checking locker rooms
and such to see if anyone is still here.” ‘Taker decided that he was right.
They all had the next few days off, which meant that so did Carli. ‘Taker had
requested Carli has a PA. Vince had refused at first, but once ‘Taker started
threatening, he quickly agreed to assign Carli to him. He decided that they
would all go to his mansion. He told them all his plan and the Acolytes grabbed
Carli. “Gangrel, inform Edge and Christian of our plan.” “Yes, Sir.” They left
the arena without anyone seeing them..
“Where am I?” Carli said sitting up. She had a headache and she was in a
strange room. She noticed that the room was well furnished. The bed that she
was in was huge. She looked so small sitting in the middle of it. She also
noticed that she didn’t see her briefcase and purse anywhere. Someone unlocking
the door interrupted her thoughts. She sat there frozen as she watched the
doorknob turn. She could feel herself start to panic. She quickly tried to get
herself under control. She couldn’t let them see that she was afraid. The door
opened and Gangrel walked in with a tray of food. “Ahh, good evenin’ Carli. I
thought that you might be awake. I though you might like a little something’ to
eat.” Carli shook her head no, glaring at him. “No? Okay, suit yourself. I’m
gonna go now.” Carli sat there and watched as Gangrel left. She closed her eyes
and took a few deep breaths. She had to stay calm. She needed to call Shandra.
She didn’t tell Shandra that she was leaving, so she knew that she would be
worried about her. She didn’t know where her cell phone was though.
“’Taker, sir?” ‘Taker turned to look at Gangrel. “I took the food up to her and
she was awake. But she won’t eat. She wouldn’t even look at it.” ‘Taker got up
from his chair in the study. He went to the kitchen and prepared a bowl of
soup. Then he headed upstairs with it. Gangrel watched him walk up the stairs
with the bowl of soup, wondering what the hell he was doing.
Carli turned her head toward the door when it opened. She wanted to scream when
she saw ‘Taker enter the room and shut the door. “Stay calm, stay calm,” she
said over and over to herself. She didn’t show any signs of fear. He put the
bowl of soup on the tray. “I thought you might like some soup to warm you up.”
“No!” Carli answered snappily. “You need to eat sometime.” “No I don’t! I want
my stuff so that I can leave!” That was the end up ‘Taker’s patience. He tried,
but no one yells at him. He reached over and grabbed her around the throat and
lifted her out of the bed. “Now you listen to me, little girl. You belong to me
and you will do as I say! No one, and I mean no one, yells or talks back to me!
I’d better see some of this food gone, when I come back!” With that said, he
threw her down. Carli started coughing and gasping for air. When she looked up,
she saw him looking down at her evilly. ‘Taker could see the fear in her eyes.
He knew that she was trying to hide it. He smiled triumphantly and then left.
She sat there on the floor for a minute and cursed herself for showing her
fear. She could feel the crack in the wall she had built. She had a feeling
that ‘Taker was going to be difficult to handle. But she had a job to do. She
just didn’t know how she was not going to show her fear. She got up and looked
at the food. She was a little hungry. She took half of the sandwhich that was
there and took a few small bites. She ate a couple spoonfuls of sound and a
cracker. She drank some of the juice and then layed down. It wasn’t long before
she fell asleep.
Chapter 8
‘Taker checked on Carli and noticed that she was sleeping. So he went to his
room for the night. Sometime later, Carli woke up. She was dreaming of Luke,
like always. Before being kidnapped, they used to not wake her up. But tonight
it did. She got out of bed and walked to the door. She was surprised to find it
unlocked. She opened it and looked out into the dark hallways. She didn’t see
anyone so she stepped out into the hallway, closing the door behind her. She
started walking toward the stairs and then suddenly stopped. Someone had
touched her shoulder. She turned around and saw Bradshaw, one of the Acolytes.
She screamed and took off down the stairs. “Shit!” Bradshaw said, and took off
after her.
‘Taker jolted awake when he heard Carli scream, and jumped out of bed and ran
out of the room. He looked all over the house for her. He finally saw the light
on in the study. He quickly walked to the room. He saw the ministry standing
around. He saw Bradshaw standing in the middle. He followed his gaze and saw
Carli huddled in the corner back by his desk. He noticed that she was shaking
with fear. “What the hell is going on?!” he yelled. Everyone in the room
jumped. Bradshaw turned around and was about to tell him what happened but
‘Taker beat him to it. He walked over and grabbed him by the throat. “What the
hell do you think you are doing?” Can’t you see that you are scaring her? Get
out! All of you! NOW!”
After everyone ran out of the room, he turned and looked at Carli. She had her
face hidden, and she was huddled against the wall. She was shaking and he could
hear her crying. The sight of her made him soften, and made him forget about
all of the evil things he wanted to do to her. He walked over to her and knelt
down. “Carli…” he said softly. He reached out to touch her and she pulled back
and whimpered as if he had hurt her. He made her look at him, even though she
resisted. He could tell that she finally realized that it was him. But he also
saw more fear. “I’m not gonna hurt ya.” He saw the shock in her eyes when he
said that. “Come on, let’s get you back to bed.” “W…why are you b…being nice to
me?” she asked, looking him in the eyes. ‘Taker ignored her and headed upstairs
with Carli in his arms. For the first time, Carli felt safe in his presence.
She clung to him as he carried her upstairs. He entered her room and walked
over to the bed. He layed her down and covered her up. He turned to leave but
Carli grabbed his hand. She hesitantly started to speak. “P…please stay. I…I’m
scared.” Her voice was cracking and she could feel the tears coming. ‘Taker
didn’t say anything; he just walked to a nearby chair and sat down. Carli
turned onto her side and closed her eyes. “What are you doing?” her mind
screamed. “Your wall is breaking, crumbling!” Carli did her best to ignore the
scolding. She knew that she was in trouble and needed to do something about it.
She just didn’t know what.
When ‘Taker noticed that Carli was asleep he let out a heavy sigh. “What the
hell are you doing? You’re not supposed to be nice to her! You’re supposed to
make her fear you! Make her break, make her respect you! She belongs to you,
make her realize it!” ‘Taker shook his head, trying to clear it. His “other
half” really wanted to hurt her. He had to be careful. If he wasn’t, he could
possibly kill her if she did something wrong.
Chapter 9
Carli woke up to see that it was still dark out. The only light in the room
was coming from a small lamp in the corner of the room. She looked over and saw
'Taker asleep in the chair. She noticed how peaceful he looked when he slept. He
didn't look evil or so intimidating. She also noticed how uncomfortable he
looked. Carli started crying, realizing the situation that she was in. She was
contracted to be 'Taker's personal assistant. 'Taker obviously didn't plan on
letting her go any time soon. She felt so helpless. She ended up crying herself
back to sleep.
Carli botled upright in bed after having another nightmare. Her first instinct
was to run, so she immediately got out of bed and ran for the door. She turned
the knob and started to open it, but a huge hand slammed it shut. She screamed
and turned around and found herself looking into the angry eyes of The
Undertaker. He shoved her up against the wall and got in her face. "Where
the hell do you think you are going?" he asked in a deadly tone. Carli
just stared at him. She didn't know what to do. He had one hand placed on the
wall on both sides of her head, sorta blocking her in. "Answer me!"
he yelled. Carli jumped and tried to explain. "I...I...umm...I
had..." she was cut off by 'Taker's lips coming down on her's. Carli was
surprised and even more terrified. She started pushing against him. She pushed
on his chest, arms, shoulders, and couldn't get him to stop.
All of a sudden, 'Taker pulled away and shoved her to the floor. She looked up
at him with tears in her eyes. 'Taker just turned quickly and walked out of the
room, slamming the door shut behind him. Carli heard the lock click and she
burst into tears. "What the hell just happened?" she asked herself.
She got up off the floor and went to the bed. She layed down and cried herself
to sleep...again.
The next time she woke up was when she heard the lock click. She sat up in the
bed and waited to see who was coming into the room. Her eyes widened when she
saw a huge man, very close to 'Taker's size. He was wearing a black and red
mask and was carrying a tray of food. He set the tray of food on the stand, and
picked up the other tray and walked back out of the room. Carli just sat there
for a minute and then looked at the tray of food. She turned her attention back
to the door when it opened . The huge man walked back into the room and over to
the bed. He started to speak, "My name is Kane, I'm 'Taker's brother. He
wants me to make sure that you eat." Carli wasn't hungry. She couldn't
force herself to eat. "I...I'm not hungry," she said, quietly.
"You have to eat," Kane said. "I don't want to," Carli said
a little louder. Kane looked at her carefully. There was something familiar
about her.
He was into the darkness just like 'Taker, but he wasn't as evil. It had all
started out as a storyline, but then everyone who had a part in it slowly got
lost in it. Kane was evil, there was no doubt about it. But he didn't hurt
people unless they deserved it. As far as he was concerned, Carli had done
nothing wrong. "You need to eat. My brother will not have you starve. Now
eat." "I don't want to!" Carli snapped. Kane turned and walked
out of the room.
"Well?" 'Taker asked when Kane entered the study. "She won't
eat. I tried to get her to, but she said that she wasn't hungry and that she
doesn't want to." 'Taker sighed, "her attitude is one of the things
I'm going to have to break." "What? What are you talking about?"
"Nothing," 'Taker replied, standing up and heading upstairs.
"'Taker, what do you mean 'one of the things you have to break'?"
Kane asked as they reached Carli's room. 'Taker opened the door and walked in.
Carli sat up in the bed and stared at him. He grabbed her by her hair and
pulled her out of the bed. Carli screamed as he jerked her outof the bed. She
lost her footing and fell to her knees. 'Taker pulled her up to her feet.
"Why wont' you eat? You should be greatful that I give you food!" he
screamed at her. "I'm n...not hungry," Carli tried to explain.
"I will not have you starve while you are here!" "I don't want
to eat." Carli said.
Kane stood over by the door and watched the scene that unfolded infront of him.
Then all of a sudden, 'Taker backhanded Carli across the face. Kane watched as
Carli fell to the floor. He didn't understand why 'Taker was acting this way.
Carli looked up at 'Taker as she held the right side of her face.
"Kane...leave us," 'Taker said, not looking at him. "'Taker, I
don't think..." "I said leave!" Kane looked at Carli and could've
sworn that she was begging him with her eyes not to leave. He slowly turned
around and left, quietly shutting the door behind him.
'Taker looked down at Carli and slowly walked towards her. "Please,
I...I'm sorry. I'll eat," Carli said as she started to back up. Carli
backed up clear to the wall and started pleading again. "P...please, I'm
sorry. I didn't mean it, I swear. I'll do an...anything, just please d...don't
hurt me." Carli said, just above a whisper. She was crying and 'Taker
could see a bruise forming by her eye. He knew that she would probably have a
pretty nasty black eye.
'Taker continued to walk towards her and then stopped when he heard a phone
ring. Carli heard it too and knew that it was her cell phone. 'Taker turned
around and walked to the closet where Gangrel had put her stuff. He looked
through her purse and found her cell phone. He picked it up and then walked
over to where Carli was still sitting on the floor. "Be careful what you
say," he said, warning her as he threw her phone at her.
"Hello," Carli said into the phone. "CARLI! Oh my gosh, where
the hell areyou?!" Shandra screamed into the phone. "I'm...uhh...I'm
at a...a friend's house," Carli answered, keeping her eyes on 'Taker, who
was watching her. "And who is that?" Shandra asked. "A
co-worker," Carli answered quickly. "What's wrong Carli?"
"N...nothing's wrong. W...why?" 'Taker looked at Carli and snatched
the phone away from her. He ended the call and threw it across the room. The
phone it the wall and busted into 3 pieces. Carli didn't know what to do.
'Taker was obviously pissed and Carli knew that he was dangerous. Now that her
phone was broken, she had no idea how she was going to get out of there. 'Taker
reached down and grabbed a handfull of her hair. He pulled her up to a standing
position and shoved her against the wall. "What did she say?" He knew
that it ws her friend on the phone. It almost always was.
"S...she...uhh..." Carli stuttered. "WHAT DID SHE WANT?!"
'Taker yelled. "Umm...she...she wanted to...to know where I...I was,"
Carli explained. 'Taker looked down and Carli. He noticed that she was
trembling and that she had tears in her eyes. He smiled a little, liking the
reaction he was getting from her. He remembered when he had kissed her earlier,
and that made him smile even more. He decided to take different approach with
her. He wanted complete control over her. He already had physical control over
her. He was working on the emotional control now...that was slowly but surely
coming along. 'Taker again thought about the kiss and how Carli had tried
pushing him away. He didn't want Carli to fight him. He wanted her to surrender
to him. He wanted her to surrender everything to him. He wanted her to come to
him willingly. But if he had to force her...he would have no problem doing so.
Carli was starting to get a little self conscious with the way 'Taker was
looking at her. He smiled one of those evil smiles that Carli already hated. He
leaned down and gently kissed her lips. Carli started to protest but 'Taker
deepened the kiss. She started to push on his arms and chest, but he grabbed
her hands and held them against the wall. Carli was whimpering in protest but
'Taker didn't care. He knew that she was afraid and he liked it. Finally Carli
quit struggling with him and she started to kiss him back. Her mind was
screaming at her but she couldn't help it. She was starting to like what 'Taker
was doing. She had expected him to be rough. But the kiss was warm and gentle.
'Taker deepened the kiss even more and Carli moaned into his mouth.
'Taker was starting to get lost in the feelings that were going through him. He
pulled back and looked at her. He still had her arms pinned to the wall and she
was breathing heavily. 'Taker leaned down again and kissed her quickly. Then he
pulled back and pushed away from her. He stood there looking at her, noticing
the confused _expression on her face. Then he turned and left the room.
Chapter
10
The next couple days were pretty uneventful. Carli wasn't allowed to leave the
room and 'Taker hadn't been back up to see her since he had kissed her. He was
totally avoiding her. He was confused about the feelings that he was having. He
was supposed to be a monster, he was supposed to be evil. But yet, when he was
near Carli, it was like he was a whole other person. He wanted to be nice to
her. He wanted to comfort her when shse was upset. "I will NOT have
feelings towards her!" he told himself. And from then on he didn't.
Soon, it had been 2 1/2 months since Carli had started working for the WWE. She
had learned to obey 'Taker when he gave her orders. Very rarely did she disobey
him. If she disobeyed him or did something wrong, she would get punished. The
punishment was always the same. 'Taker would have one or two members from the
ministry take her somewhere private and they would torture her. 'Taker always
made it a point though...to do nothing sexual to her. Now if she did something
really bad, then 'Taker would punish her...but never sexually, and she was glad
for that. Carli was about to break. She couldn't take the abuse anymore. People
make mistakes and she didn't think that anybody in the ministry could
understand that. She had to be perfect or she would get punished.
The Acolytes, Mideon, and Christian would constantly put her down, which did
absolutely nothing for her self-esteem and confidence. The only person that she
felt even half way comfortable around was Kane. After she was punished, Kane
would come into her room and make sure that she was alright. They would have
secret conversations late at night, and when they were done talking, Kane would
conver her up, kiss her forehead, and tell her goodnight. Then he would turn
off the light and go to his room. Carli thought that Kane was the sweetest
person. Every night when they would talk, she would become more and more
comfortable around him. She had seen how evil he was around other people and
she couldn't understand how he could be so evil around them and so nice around
her.
Chapter 11
Carli woke up to someone barging into the room. She tried to sit up, but found
that she didn't have the strength. "Miss Carli, you need to wake up. We
have to go back on the road today," Gangrel said. When Carli didn't
immediately sit up, he knew that something was wrong. He walked over to her and
noticed how pale she looked. "Oh no!" he said. He ran out of the room
in search of 'Taker. He found him and Kane in the study, going over some
things.
'Taker looked up when Gangrel walked in. "Is she ready to go?" he
asked. Gangrel shook his head. He didn't have time to explain as 'Taker stormed
our of the room. Kane followed right behind him all the way to Carli's room.
'Taker stormed into the room and went straight over to Carli. He yanked back
the covers, yelling as he did so. "What the hell are you do..." he
started. Noticing how pale she looked, he stopped yelling. He bent down and
felt her forehead. She was burning up! "You're not well," he stated.
Carli was thinking, "No shit!" But she knew better than to voice her
thoughts like that, so she kept her mouth shut.
"How long have you not been feeling well?" he asked. "A
co...couple of days," she whispered. "A couple of days?" he
asked, his voice rising. "Why the hell didn't you tell someone? We
could've taken care of this before it got this bad!" he yelled. Carli
groaned as she ached and felt weak. "Come on, now we have to take you to
the doctor!" he said. "Kane, inform the ministry to go on without me.
You go on as well and inform Vince that I won't be back to work until the show
reaches New York in one week," he said, looking at him. Kane nodded and
left the room. "I'll be back. Get up and get dressed," he told her
harshly.
About 10 minutes later, 'Taker came back to the room, dressed in normal
clothes, jeans, a t-shirt, and boots. He saw Carli struggling to get dressed.
He sighed and walked over to her and helped her get her pants on. Then he
helped her with her shirt, and then had her sit down on the bed while he put
her socks and shoes on. Carli was surprised at his actions, but she didn't say
anything.
"Come on, let's go," he said as he walked out of the room. He was
about halfway down the stairs when he turned and noticed that Carli wasn't
behind him. He sighed again as he made his way back up the stairs and to her
room. He reached the room just as she reached the doorway. She looked up at him
with tears in her eyes, expecting him to punish her. 'Taker looked down at her,
her tiny hands holding on to the door frame for support. He took a deep breath
and then scooped her up easily into his arms. He didn't say one word as he
carried her downstairs and to the front door. He set her down on her feet and
put her jacket on for her. Then he picked her up again and carried her outside
to his truck.
Carli had never seen this side of him before. She had never seen him in regular
clothes before. She didn't know that he owned any normal clothes. She had also
never seen this truck before. She badly wanted to ask him questions, but she
kept to herself, not wanting to get punished. The whole ride into town, to the
doctor's office, was in silence.
