Chapter 11

When Mark had first heard the announcement, he was as shocked as anybody. But his jaw nearly dropped to the floor when he saw CB go up the ramp, take the microphone and announce that she was the new owner of the WWF. Now he really was in a turmoil. He had found himself falling for Kris. Now it turned out she was really a big name corporate executive and that Kris was not her real name. He had to get out of there to get his mind together. He got on his Titan and left.

"Mark left before everything was over with," Kane told CB. "His jaw nearly dropped to the floor when he saw you go up the ramp."

CB looked to the floor. She was imagining what he was thinking. She had lied to him about who she was. "He thinks now I lied about my feelings for him too," she said aloud.

Kane saw how her face had a sad look to it. "I take it you like Mark, don't you?"

"Yes, Kane, I really do. I became interested in him when I first read his personnel file. After the first date, I found myself wondering what he was like outside the ring. I guess I'll never find out now," she said sadly.

"It will take him a while. Just like it will take all of us a while to get used to the idea of a new boss. He'll come back. I'll always be here if you need me."

CB nodded and smiled, thanking him. Kane watched her leave. Who would have ever thought that besides being beautiful, she had a smart head to go with it. "Too bad I already have someone. I wouldn't mind being more than just friends with her," Kane thought to himself.

Mark had gone riding around. "She lied to me about who she was. Was she lying about her feelings for me? Did she use me to get what she wanted?" Mark decided to head back to the arena. When he arrived, he parked his Titan near the equipment truck to be loaded. He saw Jim still there.

"What's up Mark?" Jim asked, noticing the confused look on his face. "Need a lift to the hotel or would you rather get a drink?"

"I think a good stiff drink would be in order. Let me get my bag and meet you at your truck."

As they drove to the bar, Jim saw he was still preoccupied. "What are you thinking about?" he asked.

"Everything that happened tonight," Mark replied.

"Does that everything include the new boss? From what I see, I believe you have more than just a passing interest in her."

"Jim, she lied about who she was. For all I know, she could be lying about everything else."

"Kane told me she asked where you were. You should go talk with her. It may not be what you think. Sure, it's going to take a while to get used to a new boss, but I don't think she would lie about how she felt."

CB went to her room. After showering she ordered room service. In the morning she would return her uniform to Jim and begin her new job as owner of the WWF. Before Vince had left, he had given her suggestions on possible storylines to use. She said she would look them over and let the writers know which ones she would use.

She barely ate the food on the tray, pacing back and forth. As usual, she thought about Mark. Well, after what happened tonight, she doubted he would want to see her again. She had lied about who she was. She didn't think he would want to be seen dating the boss. "I screwed this up royally," she said to herself.

Mark sat in the bar nursing his drink. He had wanted someone that was different. Most of the women he had met were basically all the same. They wanted to be seen with him but never really get to know him. Then he had met Kris, CB in reality, and knew she was different from the start. Here was someone who could take care of herself; had beauty and brains rolled up in one package, and was loaded on top of that. Why would she want to be with a wrestler, especially someone like him. "She's probably having a good laugh," he thought. He ordered another drink. Jim had said to go talk to her. He honestly didn't think he could.

CB tossed and turned in her sleep. She had to get some rest. Tomorrow she would be flying to Hartford to meet the board and staff at Titan Towers. Vince would be there to help with the transition. That would be battle number one as she was sure to be met with trepidation. The next would be to convince the board she was not going to change the basic structure of the company. She knew there were a couple who voted against the merger. The last and biggest battle would be Mark. CB had to face the fact that he would probably not want to have anything to do with her. Tears came to her eyes at the thought.

Mark was on his fifth drink. Jim had never seen him like this. They had talked, Mark saying what would she want with someone like him. Jim kept telling him that she was for real despite what she had done. Jim finally gave up, telling Mark they needed to get back to the hotel to rest as they were leaving in the morning.

CB arose the next morning, still tired. After showering and packing, she stopped at Jim's room and handed in her uniform. "I'll be at Titan Towers for the next couple of weeks. I'll fly to wherever the show is at as I will want to talk to the staff about a few things."

Vince met her in his office, which would now be hers. He took her on a tour of the building. She met everyone from the receptionist to his personal secretary. After lunch, she met the board. Most of them were shocked to see a young woman running a major corporation. She assured them that she had enough experience as she had worked with her father from day one. She also assured them nothing would change, that if they worked together, the WWF would even be better. But she also made it clear she would not hesitate to reprimand, fire, or fine anyone, no matter who they were, who did not pull their weight or thought she was a pushover.

After the board meeting, she met the writers and spent the rest of the day talking about possible storylines they had come up with. She asked how did they come up with them. Vince explained he would have one of the writers walk through the crowd and listen to what the fans said. They would then write a possible scenario to it, and the final okay would come from Vince's office.

CB listened as she knew this was the real reason for the WWF's success. That one person only had the final say so, not a group or committee. CB spent the rest of the two weeks getting used to the schedule and staff. The writers had a storyline for her, but that would come at a later date.

Austin was slated to return at one of the ppvs. She was warned that he liked to have his way in just about everything, even to changing the storyline to suit him. Austin was going to be very surprised as the storylines would not change at his whim.

Chapter 12

CB flew into Kansas City on Sunday. She was hoping everyone was there as she wanted to meet with all of them. In her hotel room she went over what she was going to say, making sure she left nothing out. There was a knock on the door; it was Jim.

"Hey, Jim. Come on in. Is everyone at the arena?"

Everyone's there."

"I hope they like the ideas I have to present to them, plus there are a couple of things I want to make clear to them." CB left with Jim, who drove her to the arena.

All the wrestlers, technicians, announcers, and ring crew were seated in the arena. Everyone had their own ideas as to what CB would talk about. Mark sat there, listening yet not listening. He had thoughts of his own, mainly about CB. He could not get her out of his mind. The more he tried, the more she stayed. He was going to do what Jim had suggested, talk with her, find out how she really felt.

CB entered the arena, microphone in hand. The ring was not quite set up yet. She had everyone move to the ringside seats. After they were seated, she took a deep breath and began. "I'm glad to see you here. This is not going to be long so I'll get right to the point. The way things are going now will not be changed. The format Vince started will remain the same. But, I wish to reiterate a couple of things. As long as you honor the terms of your contract, I will honor mine. But, breach any part of it and you will find yourself immediately suspended without pay or fined or both. If you continue, I will see to it that your contract is terminated, and you will find it very hard to wrestle outside of the WWF. There are no second chances and I don't play games. If there are any personal problems among you, please take care of them outside of the ring and in private. If it gets to the point I have to interfere, then you will find that I am not such an easy person to deal with.

There are a few things I thought I would suggest to you. Now I know you all have to make your own personal arrangements as far as hotel, air travel, and car rental goes, and sometimes it can get expensive. Here is what I have to propose to you. Hopefully it will help you save money.

CB Corporation doesn't own just television stations, it also owns smaller subsidiary companies. One of them is a hotel chain that is located in several of the cities that we go to. I have sent each of them a list of the dates of when the WWF will be in town and they are to hold back at least ten floors for WWF personnel. I have also sent them the names of the WWF personnel. All you have to do is show your Driver's License in order to get your room. All the rooms have double beds in them, so up to four can fit in a room if you so desire. The rooms usually run approximately $100 dollars a night. By showing your ID you will get the rooms at half price. I'll let you figure out the rest.

As for car rental, I have worked out a deal with a major company that the corporation will pay for the car rental. Limos will be used only for televised shows. Otherwise, you will have use of the newer model Cadillacs and Lincoln cars. If possible, please pool.

Next is air transportation. All wrestling personnel will fly in one plane. As some of you may not know, CB Corporation is worth billions and therefore can afford to get its own jet, complete with stewardess. The jet was modified so that all seating areas are the same. There is no first class, second, or coach.

As for meals, you will be reimbursed a set amount per day. Anything over that amount you will have to eat, no pun intended.

Also, you will be given the option to buy stock in the company. I won't go into detail as to what the cost per share is. You can go online and check it out with Ameritrade.

If there are no questions, that's it."

Everyone sat in their chairs, talking among themselves as what she had put before them. CB walked up the ramp and to the back to the coffee machine to grab a cup of coffee. She had avoided looking at Mark as much as possible. After what had happened, she didn't think he would even want to come near her.

She felt something behind her. She turned to see a broad chest in front of her. She looked up to see it was Mark. She looked down. Mark lifted her chin. "We need to talk."

Chapter 13

They found a quiet spot in the lounge.

"Okay, why the charade?"

"Mark, just looking at facts and figures about the company wasn't enough. I had to see for myself what it was really all about, and the best way to do that is to observe it up close. Get to know the people who work for it, see what made it so successful. I couldn't do it has CB herself, so that's why I chose to be a security person. I hadn't counted on the fact that I would personally become involved with someone in the company. I had read the personnel files before I did this. When I came to yours I found myself intrigued. Then when you asked me out, it made me even want to know more about you, not as the American Bad Ass, but as Mark Callaway. When Kane told me you walked out that night I just knew I was never going to ever find out."

Mark looked at her. "When I met first met you, there was something different about you. You were someone who could take care of herself, intelligent, beautiful, all in one package. You were the first woman I met that didn't look at me as if I were someone to be seen with, but wanting to know about me for myself. At first I thought you had used me, but Jim said he didn't think you were like that. I tried getting you out of my mind, but I couldn't. You think we can start again?"

"I'm glad you decided to talk with me. I just have one question. Would you mind being seen with the boss although I wouldn't be when we went out?"

"I don't know," Mark said with a grin. "I guess I don't mind. Let's say tonight."

"Okay. Are we riding on the Titan? I don't know much about it, but I'm hoping you'll teach me."

"We can ride on it, but it will take a while before I get the nerve to teach you," he said with a grin.

They left the lounge. Mark prepared for his match while CB watched from the control room. When the show was over, they met at the entrance and left on his Titan. They went riding for a bit till they found a small Italian restaurant. He asked would she like to go dancing afterwards. She said yes, anxious to dance with him again, especially close. They found a popular night spot that the wrestlers liked going to. They were shown a corner table. They listened for a while before going out on the dance floor. A slow tune began playing. Mark held her close, neither one noticing the raised brows or smiles on the wrestlers' faces. As they were dancing, Triple H and Chyna were dancing. They nearly bumped into each other.

"Sucking up to the boss already?" Triple H asked grinning.

Mark gave him a "shut up" look. "I know I'm never going to hear the end of this," he whispered in her ear.

"I'm sure of it," she responded.

When the song ended they went back to their table. By that time their drinks had arrived. They slowly sipped their drinks making small talk. About 2:30 they left to go back to the hotel.

Mark opened her room door. He bent and kissed her, pulling her close to him, parting her lips. CB wrapped her arms around his neck, returning his kiss. He backed her into her room, shutting the door behind him. He intensified the kiss, holding her even closer, his hands down her back, stopping at her butt cheeks.

Mark lifted his head. "Maybe I had better go."

"No, don't. Please stay."

CB pulled his head down, parting his lips as she explored his mouth, running her hands down his chest. Mark held her tighter against him. She began undoing the buttons of his shirt, slipping her hands inside, lighting stroking his chest, her fingers feeling his muscles flinch.

Mark tore his mouth from hers and kissed her cheek, going on to her neck. CB rubbed her thighs against his, the friction making him grow. Mark's body shook, every nerve on fire. "Let's go to the bed," he groaned. CB backed away, taking his hand as she led him over. She knelt on the carpet and took of his boots and socks, then reached up and undid the belt and buttons on his jeans. Putting her thumbs inside, she pulled them down, Mark stepping out of them as he took his shirt off. CB was no stranger to seeing men's bodies. "For his size, he is built solid!" she sighed to herself.

Mark pulled her up and sat her on the bed, kneeling in front of her, slowly taking her blouse off, then unhooking her black lacy bra, freeing her ample breasts. Pushing her back onto the bed, he took her shoes off, then undoing the zipper on her slacks; CB lifting her hips for him to take them off. Getting up, he leaned over her, kissing her again, his lips leaving a trail of fire as he continued downward, making his way to her full breasts. Mark cupped them, running his tongue over each tip, sucking them till she moaned in ecstasy.

Her fingers were now tangled in his long red hair as he went lower. He knelt on the carpet when he reached her thighs, opening her legs. He leaned in, his tongue running up and down her softness. CB raised her hips as she gripped the covers. Never had any man loved her like this. Her breathing quickened as she felt herself tighten, ready to explode.

Mark kissed his way back up her body, his face now above hers. CB reached down and guided him into her, Mark feeling her tightness. CB began moving her hips, Mark following her rhythm. CB held his head as they moved faster. Mark felt her vaginal muscles tighten around him as she came. He breathed faster as he sucked the skin on her shoulder till it turned black and blue as he released.

Mark stayed on top till his breathing slowed down. Turning on his back, he pulled her with him till they were laying full in the bed. CB laid her head on his chest, curling next to him as close as she could. Mark put his arm and leg over her, the both of them dropping off to sleep.

Chapter 14

Mark woke up to the shower running. He went in, opening the curtain. CB jumped. "You scared me!"

"May I join you?"

CB washed him first, Mark having to kneel so she could wash his hair. Then it was his turn. He washed her back, massaging her. CB arched. "Oh that feels good first thing in the morning." They dried each other. CB called room service and had breakfast sent up.

"You know, Mark, I will have to treat you like I do everyone else. That is going to be hard. Sometimes relationships like this don't always work out."

"I realize that, but I know we can make it work. By the way, what does CB stand for?"

"Cynthia Baynes. At work you'll have to call me CB like everyone else."

"That's okay, boss." He said in a deep drawl. "When we're alone, I'm calling you Cyn."

CB smiled. After finishing, she dressed and packed. The plane was leaving in a couple of hours. Mark went on to his room to pack and go on to the airport. Just as he opened his door, he heard Kane calling him.

"Just now getting to your room? Where were you last night, or should I ask?" Kane asked with a big smile.

"Where I was is none of your business," Mark said.

"Who do you think you're fooling? I know where you were, so does everybody else. Man, already getting in good with boss," Kane teased.

Mark went in his room. He could hear it now. "Mark is kissing up to the boss." "He sure didn't waste any time." He laughed, knowing they were teasing, but knew he wouldn't hear the end of it either.

CB arrived at the airport a few minutes ahead of Mark, making sure the plane was ready. She had left instructions with the stewardess to check the list she had been given as each one boarded.

As soon as everyone was aboard, the plane took off. CB seated herself among the wrestlers. There happened to be an empty seat beside her. She was getting some papers from her briefcase when a big body filled the seat beside her. She looked to see Mark occupying it. Everyone started teasing him. "Oh, look at that." "Shall we call Mark Mr. Boss?" Mark looked at them with a that's enough" look. Everybody laughed and sat back in their seats. Mark was curious as to what she was doing.

"I'm going over the schedule. I used to think I was on the go. Looking at this schedule is making me tired already. It will feel good to be able to just sit in a chair that doesn't move for just a few minutes."

"That is just for starters. You have to count in autograph signings and house shows. We do this for 8-10 months of the year."

It was an exhausting schedule. To CB it seemed they would arrive only to leave right back out. She was not in any of the storylines at the present time. The writers still thinking of a good storyline for her to be involved in.

In the mean time, she and Mark did their best to keep their relationship strictly outside the ring. With the hectic schedule, it was rare they had time for each other. Mark had his matches, special appearances, autograph sessions, etc. CB would spend her time making sure everything ran smoothly as far as the day-to-day operation and flying back and forth to corporate headquarters. It wasn't so much it was physically demanding, but she would go to bed brain-tired, along with having to run CB Corporation itself.

There were nights she would fall on the bed, not even bothering to undress. Mark would come in some nights and find her laid out on the bed. He would shake his head and undress her and then himself. Pulling her close to him, he would hold her all night. In the morning, CB would wake up and find herself encircled by a tattooed arm. One morning, CB awoke to see him asleep, his arm around her. CB kissed his cheek. Mark opened his eyes and smiled. She began kissing his lips; a long, slow, deep kiss. Mark put her on her back, himself on top.

"Good morning, handsome. How's my American Bad Ass?" she asked.

"How's this for an answer." He put his lips to hers, his hands roaming her body. He went to her thighs, opening them, slipping his hand inside her panties. CB closed her eyes and moaned. Sliding her hand down, she grasped his shaft, going back and forth. "It would seem something needs attention," she said with a wicked smile. CB pushed him on his back. Mark would usually sleep in nothing more than boxers. CB had them removed in no time, seeing his desire throbbing for attention. She slid down his body, kissing him on the way down, his shaft rubbing between her breasts. Holding it still, she laved it with her tongue. Mark closed his eyes, a low rumble coming from his chest. She took him in, slowly going up and down. Mark lifted his hips. "Some morning kiss!" he groaned.

He felt her get up. Opening his eyes, he saw her remove her bra and panties. Straddling him, she brought herself down slowly on his erect shaft, taking all of him in. Bracing herself, CB moved her hips up and down, slowly at first, then increasing her movement. With each stroke, CB felt him all the way to the end, groaning as now he moved with her. Mark massaged her breasts, seeing the tips enlarge, begging to be sucked. Mark sat up, taking one in his mouth while massaging the other. CB whimpered at the sensation, throwing her head back. She moved faster, her body stiffening as she came. Mark felt her juices flow over him, softly biting the tip of her breast as he released. CB held his head till they finished.

CB bent and passionately kissed him. "You had better watch it. I could keep you doing it all day," he said with a devilish twinkle in his eye. "I wouldn't mind that at all," she replied.

"I know you wouldn't, but we have to get going," Mark said reluctantly.

"Well, back to reality," she said with a sigh.

Chapter 15

The long awaited return of Austin was set for Unforgiven. The script called for him to run in during the title match between Rock and Triple H and stun the both of them.

"He has gone against the script before, telling Vince that was not what he wanted." Mark would tell CB. "And usually Austin got what he wanted."

On the day of the ppv, CB arrived early, checking over every piece of the stage, pyrtoechnics, and script. For three weeks it was hyped, concentrating on the main matches; the ladder match between the Hardyz and Edge and Christian, Kane vs Taker, Benoit vs Angle, both grudge matches. The title match between Rock and Triple, the stipulation being that if Triple H lost, he would not get another shot at the tile while the Rock was still champ.

CB told JR and Lawler she would sit with them at the announcer's table. After they came out, CB made her entrance, putting on her earphones and waiting for the matches to begin. The signal was given that they were on the air.

"Live from Houston, Texas. It's Unforgiven! Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, I'm Jim Ross, along with Jerry "King" Lawler, coming to you live. We are also privileged to have with us the new owner of the WWF, CB McCall. As some of you may not already know, Vince McMahon, former owner of the WWF, merged the company with CB Corporation. Welcome, CB."

"Thanks, JR. It's great to be here. I'm anxious for the matches to start. We have an outstanding card for tonight."

"You're right there," said Lawler. "The ladder match between the Hardyz and Edge and Christian, a couple of grudge matches between Kane and Taker, along with Benoit and Angle. Taker wanting to get his hands on Kane for what he did to him Then the title match between Rock and Triple H. If Triple H loses, he can never get another shot as long as the Rock is champ."

"That's right, King. These four young men in the ladder match have a total disregard for the safety of their bodies, hurling themselves at each other from unbelievable heights. Then you have Kane and Taker. Always a physical match when these two giants get in the ring. The special stipulation thrown in by Commissioner Foley at Smackdown four days ago that Triple H will never get another shot at the title if he loses."

As the two talked, the cameras panned over the crowd. CB looked around the arena, filled to capacity with over 20,000 screaming fans. She could see why Vince was reluctant to give it up. The noise of the crowd, the matches. It made her blood race through her body.

"I understand, CB, that Stone Cold could make an appearance tonight," JR said.

"That's right, JR. I heard he will be returning after being off for a few months. When we don't know for sure," CB replied.

The matches were fast paced with lots of action. One of the first matches was the Dudleys' vs RTC. CB watched with a smile on her face as Stevie Richards got put through a wooden table. Lita won her match against Ivory despite interference from Jackie.

The Snow-Regal match was full of technical moves. Then for some reason, Mideon did a streak-through wearing nothing more than a g-string. CB had to cover her face to keep from laughing out loud. Why she allowed that she'll never know.

The ladder match between the Hardyz and Edge and Christian was a real nail biter. Each one doing flying drop kicks, shoulder spears, and the Swanton Dive from 20 foot ladders. CB shook her head in amazement. No matter how many times she watched them, she was always amazed at their athletic ability and daring. The Hardyz kept their titles when Matt did the Twist of Fate on Christian.

"What do you think so far, CB? JR asked.

"So far the card has lived up to what we had planned."

There were two other small matches after that. Then Mark's and Kane's match. The audience was shown a brief history of the rivalry between Mark and Kane, getting them ready for the match.

The lights went out and the fireworks began. Kane's music began to play. He came out, this time in a new mesh outfit, which made him look a lot bigger. As he stood in the middle of the ring, he brought his arms down, fire shooting from the ring posts.

Then the bell tolled, voices saying "He's here!" Then you heard the song, "I am an American Bad Ass." Mark appeared at the top of the ramp on his red Titan, dressed in blue jeans, his new Bad Ass shirt (which made CB take a quick intake of breath), blue bandana, hair pulled back, and dark sunglasses. He rode down the ramp for his usual ride around the ring. As he came to where CB was sitting, he gave her a wink and a sly grin as he went by. CB was glad the cameras didn't show her face as she couldn't help but smile.

Kane attacked him before he was fully in the ring. The ref had the bell sound to officially begin the match. Kane was giving Mark uppercuts to the throat, making Mark step backwards. Soon though, Mark began doing the same to Kane, but Kane came back, knocking Mark out of the ring to the floor, then went over the top rope after him. He picked Mark up, slamming him into the ring steps. CB heard Mark grunt. She winced as she could feel the sting. Mark slowly got up and began to hit Kane, knocking Kane to the floor, dragging him close to the announcer's table.

Lawler, Ross, and CB moved to get out of the way. Mark hit Kane over the barricade, going into the crowd. Jim and the added security kept everyone away from them. After a couple of minutes, they fought their way back to the ring. Kane was trying to do a chokeslam on Mark, who countered by doing the same thing. Neither could execute their finishing move. Mark hit Kane in the stomach, throwing him against the ropes, hitting him with a flying clothes line.

Rikishi comes from the back. "What's Rikishi doing out here?" Lawler asked. "Looks like he's going after Kane. Those two do have a feud going," JR replied. Kane had Mark on the canvas when Rikishi entered. Kane saw Rikishi and went after him. Rikishi did a sidekick to Kane, then threw him in the corner. He was almost ready to run and slam Kane with his butt when Mark came in from behind and grabbed him, hitting Rikishi with several chops to the throat, doing the chokeslam on him. The ref rang the bell, Mark winning the match.

Now came the time for the main title match, Rock vs. Triple H. The bell rang, the both of them going after each other. At one point, they go outside the ring, again near the announcer's table. Again JR, Lawler, and CB have to move, but this time the announcer's table is busted all the way to the floor. They again go back into the ring. CB was wondering when Austin was going to show up. He was supposed to come in about this time as both Rock and Triple H had, for appearances, beaten each other pretty good. She looked at her watch. She gave him a minute or two more. When the time had passed, she looked at Hebner and nodded her head, signalling him to end the match. Hebner managed to whisper to the both of them to end the match. Rock did the sidewalk slam on Triple H, setting him up for the people's elbow. After doing the usual running from side to side, he dropped the elbow on Triple H. Hebner counted, Rock winning.
