"Daddy I’m hungry." A small familiar voice whispered in his ear as she lightly tugged on his hair. Opening one eye he grinned at the smiling little girl standing beside his bed.
"Mama is still asleep and I’m hungry." She said again pulling on his large hand. "Ok, angel I’m up." He said with a chuckle.
In the blink of an eye he was out of bed and had his stepdaughter in his arms and was walking to the Living room of the huge hotel room they where staying in.
"What about mama?" Lynn said wrapping her small fingers around Glenn’s hair.
"We need to let her sleep a little longer." Glenn said looking over his shoulder at his Sleeping wife of three years. "She had a rough night. The baby was kicking her a lot last night. Glenn said placing Lynn on the sofa so he could call and order her usual pancakes and scrambled eggs.

Rose woke up to Glenn’s voice and Lynn’s giggling. Maneuvering out of bed as graceful as she could was not an easy thing at eight months pregnant but she pulled it off and waddled to the door to look at her two favorite people. Glenn was setting in the floor with Lynn doing his best Scooby Doo impression making Lynn laugh so hard tears was falling from her eyes. Rose watched a few minutes more as she rubbed her small hands over her swollen belly. "He’s such a great father." Rose thought to her self watching Glenn play with Lynn. "He’s the only father she’s ever known and I wouldn’t have it any other way."
"Are you two having fun?" Rose asked plopping down on the sofa in front of Glenn and Lynn. "Sure am!" Lynn said jumping on the sofa and hugging her mother."
"Where looking at cartoons." Glenn said getting off the floor and setting beside Rose. "Did we wake you up?" He asked leaning over to kiss her. "Nahh your son is telling me he’s hungry. That’s what woke me up." Rose said patting her belly."Awww is my little man hungry in there?" Glenn said leading down and kissing Rose’s belly. "Yep he sure is! And I am too!" Right at that time the baby decided to kick when Glenn placed his hand on Rose’s stomach. "Well let’s get some food in there."
*~*~*~
"Are you sure you and Lynn will be alright?" Glenn asked for the hundredth time in less than tem minutes as they walked threw the airport. "We’ll be fine honey." Rose said looking up at her very overprotective husband. "I have to see my OB/GYN and I need to make sure we have enough food and everything for when Mark and Sara come. Don’t worry you’ll be home soon. "Is Mark and Sara still flying home with you?"Yah there coming to the Raw show tomorrow night and we’ll fly out after that." "Who do you have tomorrow night?" "I’m tagin with RVD we have a title match with Jericho and Christian."
"Last call for flight 305 to Knoxville, Tennessee." Rang out over the loud speakers of the airport. As they made their way to the gate. "That’s our flight honey we have to go." Rose said smiling up at the love of her life. "You be careful and I’ll be home soon." Glenn said as he leaned down hugging Rose close to him and giving her a mind blowing kiss. They pulled apart and Glenn picked Lynn up and hugged her tight.
"You take care of mama for me till I get home angel." Glenn said smiling at Lynn.
"I Will." She said hugging his neck one more time before wiggling out of his arms.
Glenn watched the plane take off and fly away with the three most important people in his life"

A ringing phone startled Rose as walked back and forth in her living room. Glenn had not called that night and this had her very worried. Rose had seen the hard chair shots he took to the head and back but had changed the channel when Lynn started crying. Rose had repeatedly tried to call but all she could get was Glenn’s voice mail.
Picking up the phone Rose said Hello in a shaky voice. "Rose, it’s Mark."
What little control she had over her emotions snapped when she heard Mark’s voice and she began to cry. "Oh God Mark what’s wrong with Glenn?!" Rose said nearly screaming in to the phone.
"Calm down darlin.he’s going to be fine we had to take him to the hospital after the show. He has a concussion." Mark said trying his best to calm Rose down. "The doctor said he’ll need some time off to recover but he’ll be fine."
"Where is he now, Can I talk to him?" Rose asked trying to calm her self. "He’s laying in bed. He may sound a little spacey darlin they gave him some pain medicine a few minutes ago." Mark said just before handing the phone to Glenn.
"Hay baby how you feeling to night?" came the deep comforting voice of Glenn.
"I think I’m the one that needs to ask that." Rose said as fresh tears rolled down her cheeks at the sound of his groggy voice. "Are you in much pain honey?"
"Nahh they gave me some really groovy drugs." Glenn said with a chuckle.
"Groovy huh? From the sound of you there kickin in real good."
"They are." Glenn said fighting to keep his eyes open. "How is Lynn?"
"She’s fine she was up set when she saw you get hit with that chair but she calmed down."
"That’s good." Was Glenn’s only response. "If I’ve told you once I’ve told you a hundred times, Jericho ain’t right in the head. He’s crazier than a shit house rat" Rose said trying to lighten the mood. Rose’s last comment had Glenn laughing hard and a very puzzled Mark standing there trying to figure out what was so damn funny.
"How is my little man to night?"
"I think he’s trying out some new wrestling moves in there right now." Rose said rubbing her hand over her stomach. They talked a few minutes more and Rose could tell Glenn was fighting to stay awake. “Honey why don’t you let me talk to mark and you get some sleep." "I think that’s a good idea." Glenn said in a tired voice. "I love you Rose."
"I love you to Glenn."
He handed the phone back to Mark and was asleep in a matter of seconds.
Rose and Mark talk for a few minutes longer. "When will he be able to come home?" "The doctor said he wanted to keep him over night. Sara has rescheduled our flight for tomorrow morning.” “Oh that’s wonderful. How is Sara and that new baby doing?" "There doing great!" Mark said with a big smile on his face. "Good!! I can’t wait to see them again I’ve missed Sara and you so much, and Lynn asks me all the time about you and her and when will she get to see the baby again. Mark and Rose said their goodbyes and she hung up the phone with an over whelming feeling a relief that her husband was alright"

Glenn, Mark, Sara and the baby made it to Knoxville with out too much of a hassle just a few autographs here and there. A very tired Glenn unlocked the door to his house thinking Roes and Lynn was there but all that met him was a huge quiet house. An uneasy feeling settled in the pit of Glenn’s stomach as he walked around the house looking for Rose and Lynn.
Mark had just brought all the bags in and Sara was pulling a bottle out of the diaper bag for the baby she was hungry and starting to fuss.
"Mark go check on Glenn he was looking a little weird when you was out side." She said with concern in her voice.
Mark found Glenn roaming aimlessly around the house desperately looking for Rose and Lynn. "Glenn what are you doing man?” Mark asked very concerned that Glenn’s concussion may be worse than the doctor’s first thought. The disoriented and panicked look on Glenn’s face had Mark worried.
"There not here!" Glenn said pushing past mark and into the kitchen. Glenn’s panic was plainly showing as he staggered into the kitchen and leaned on the refrigerator for support. Mark saw a note on the kitchen table as he grabbed Glenn by the arms and made him set down.
"Chill Out dude. Look here’s a note." He said handing the small peace of paper to Glenn.
Glenn,
I’m hoping I’ll be home before you get here. But if I’m not don’t worry
I have a doctor’s appointment I have to go to. Mark and Sara’s usual room is made and ready for them. Tell them to make their selves at home. Call my cell phone if you get home before I do.
Love you, Rose
"She’s just at the doctor." Glenn said smiling up at Mark. "Yah she’ll be home soon." Mark said patting his friend on the shoulder. "Why don’t you go lay down your looking a little pale man" "I think I will I’m going to go to our room and call her."
Glenn plopped down on the bed and grabbed the phone on the nightstand. Dialing her cell phone number Glenn waited for Rose to pick up her phone.
"Hello" "Hay beautiful where are you?" "I’m on my way to pick up Lynn from my mom’s house" Rose said with a huge smile on her face. "Have you been home long?" "Nahh just a few minutes." "Are you feeling ok?" ‘Yah just a little head ache."
"I have something for you!" Rose said barely able to contain her excitement.
"What is it?" "I got a new ultrasound picture of the baby to day! You can see him perfectly in it! I can’t wait for you to see it!"
"That’s Great baby!" "I’m almost to my mom’s house I’ll be home soon. I love you." she said in a Happy voice. "I love you too baby."
"I Love You." Was the last thing Glenn heard from Rose’s voice before screeching tires and shattering glass echoed across the phone he was holding in his hand.
"ROSE!!!!" Glenn yelled but it was to late the line was disconnected.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
It was a cold rainy November day as Glenn sat and watched his wife and unborn son slowly lowered in the cold damp ground. Glenn was surrounded by his family and friends and the WWE had closed down for Rose’s funeral.
Four days ago this terrible thing happened and in four days Glenn had barely spoken a word and refused to eat and sleep. The only person he would let close to him was Lynn. He kept her in his sight at all times.
Glenn’s lifeless blue eyes stared blankly as mounds of dirt were shoveled over his beautiful wife and his baby boy as the preacher began a prayer. The comforting words did nothing to stop the unbelievable pain in his hart and soul. One moment he was talking to his beautiful wife about their son, and in the blink of an eye his world was ripped apart by a drunk driver.
The preacher continued to talk as Glenn held on to Lynn as if she was the very air he breathed. She was the only thing keeping him on this earth. She was the light keeping him from slipping even deeper into the blackness that was pulling at his soul.
The funeral passed in a blur to Glenn. His family and friend stood back as he broke down and fell to his knees in front of Rose’s grave stone. No one dared touch him as he traced his fingers over Rose’s name on the cold stone.
Lynn not quite understanding the whole situation walked over to Glenn and wrapped her little arms around his much bigger one. Glenn looked at Lynn’s tear streaked face and wiped a tear away with his thumb as he looked into her big brown eyes. He had said a silent prayer to God when he touched Rose’s grave stone to let him drowned in his own tears, But the moment he saw Lynn he knew she needed him. His little angel with her mother’s eyes would be the only thing that would get him through this.
*~*~*~
Glenn sat in his house with a blank lifeless look on his face and glazed over eyes. His family and friends set around eating at talking. Some talking about the terrible accident. Others going to Mark for answers. Mark was the man all the guys turned to in hard times and now was no deferent. "Do you think he’ll ever get over this?" Jeff asked in a sad voice. "I don’t know man, he won’t let nobody close to him, and Lynn is the only one he’ll even say more than two words to. Mark said looking over at Glenn. "Is it true what the guys are saying about him Mark? Yah know that he’s lost his mind?” Bradshaw asked in a whisper. "To tell you the truth I don’t know." Mark said in a deeply concerned voice.
Glenn’s face filled with panic as he looked around the crowd of people. Lynn was nowhere around. Glenn stood up and a hush fell over the crowded living room. “Lynn” he whispered in a soft voice looking from person to person. “Where is She?! Where is Lynn?!…Where the Hell Is Lynn!!" He yelled pushing his way through the crowd of people. He was pale as a ghost and was shaking with fear
As he yelled Lynn’s name over and over again.
She ran out of the kitchen and right to Glenn at the sound of her name.
Glenn fell to his knees and hugged Lynn close to his body as his tears fell freely again." Please don’t leave me, I need you I can’t lose you too." Glenn said holding Lynn as tight to him as he could with out crushing her small body. The crowd of people left leaving only Mark, Bradshaw and Jeff to watch over Glenn and Lynn.
They sat there for what seemed like hours till Glenn finely realized Lynn had fallen asleep. Glenn stood up with Lynn in his arms and staggered and in a hart beat Mark and Bradshaw grabbed him by his arms and was holding him up. “Let me put her to bed Glenn.” Jeff said in a soft voice reaching out for Lynn. Glenn tighten his hold on her not wanting to let her go. “Please big guy? I’m not going to hurt her; I’m just going to put her to bed. She’s tired and needs her sleep.” Jeff said trying to talk Glenn in to giving her to him. He reluctantly handed Lynn over and watched Jeff carry her off to her bedroom. The lack of sleep and food from the last four days finely got to Glenn when the room began to spin. He would have hit the floor when his world went black had Mark and Bradshaw not been holding him up when he passed out.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
"I Love you"
Roses’ voice echoed in Glenn’s dreams as his tired mind tried to wake up. The moon shined across the bed he was laying on as he tried to focus and clear the cobwebs from his mind. He watched the shadows dance across the walls a moment as he tried to figure out how he got to his bedroom. "Mark "Mark and Bradshaw brought me up here." He thought to himself swinging his legs over the side of the bed and setting up. Waves of dizziness and a sharp pain shot through his head. Closing his eyes and taking deep breaths Glenn desperately tried to stop his world from spinning.
*~*~
Muffled sounds caught Glenn’s attention. "Who in the hell is in the bathroom?" Glenn asked him self looking at the half open bathroom door.
Glenn sat in utter shock unable to say a word when the bathroom door slowly opened and out walked Rose in her bathrobe.
"Hay honey you feeling better?" Rose asked kissing Glenn’s forehead than walked over to her dresser to pull out her pajamas.
Glenn was up in a heartbeat and had his hands on her shoulders.
"Your...your not dead?!" Glenn said running his hands through Rose’s wet hair and over her face. "The baby is ok ?!" Glenn asked untying the robe and rubbing his big hands over her swollen belly.
"Glenn the baby is fine and I am to." Rose said with confusion in her voice.
"Honey your scaring me. Please tell me what’s wrong." She said seeing the tears falling from his eyes.
"You where dead I saw you I was at your funeral." Glenn said barely able to get his words out.
"Glenn how hard did Jericho hit you with that damn chair?" Rose asked gently pushing her husband back to set on the bed.
"What?" he asked watching his son move around in Rose’s stomach.
"Baby you where dreaming I’m fine, and your little man is too." She said rubbing her hand over his hair trying to calm him down. "Don’t you remember talking to me on the phone? I was on my way to get Lynn. Remember? I told you I loved you” I got home about three hours ago. Mark told me you where asleep I didn’t want to wake you. I thought you needed the rest that chair shot just scrambled your brains honey everything is fine." she said Wiping the tears from his cheeks.
"It was just a dream." Glenn said wrapping his arms around Rose and laying his head on her belly.
"Just A Dream!"
The End
