Chapter 8

For a week after that the girls read the paper to see if any news was there. Upon seeing none, they figured the woman had not seen them and breathed a sigh of relief. For the next two grueling months, the girls rose at 5:00 a.m. to begin their daily workouts, which consisted of a five-mile run, then back to the dorm for breakfast before heading to the gym for aerobics and weightlifting.

The trainers (Al, Tazz, and Jackie) were amazed at the progress the girls made. They were far ahead of the rest of the group who struggled to keep up. Al was amazed at how easily the girls went through the workouts and run, barely working up a sweat. He and the other trainers would talk when the groups weren't around.

"I have never seen two women so strong as those two. They even put some of the men wrestlers to shame," Al observed. "You could never tell just by the looks of them."

"Yeah, but the real test will come when they start learning how to wrestle," Tazz said.

The group had taken a break and Al went over to Panthera and Jaguar. "The other trainers and I were talking about you two. I have to give it to you. You have really impressed me and the other trainers with your work ethic and determination." The girls arched their brows as he turned and walked away.

At 5:00 the group went back to the dorm. After a quick shower the girls went to the kitchen to see what there was in the refrigerator. The girls had learned over the months, through trial and error, plus a visit or two by the fire department, to cook simple meals for themselves. But Panthera was hungering for something else. "Oh, I want something other than this," she moaned hungrily. "I need fresh blood!" "Quiet!" Jaguar whispered. "Do you want everyone to hear? I want some too, but we have to stick this out."

At 10:00 the girls turned out the lights. Panthera tossed in her bed, the urge too strong for her. Jaguar opened her eyes to see Panthera up and getting dressed. "Where are you going?"

"I'm going out. I won't be gone long."

Panthera tiptoed out of the room and out the front door. Making sure everything was quiet and no one around, she rubbed her pendant. Slowly her body began changing. Her facial features to those of a panther, then her arms and legs, till finally black fur appeared on her body and a tail. Slinking down the driveway she went across the road and into the woods. The night animals that had come out ran upon seeing the golden glow of her eyes, not wanting to be in her path. As she walked, she sniffed the air, stopping when she came to the edge of the woods, her mouth drooling as she had finally found what she had been searching for. Raising her paw, she rubbed the necklace and changed back into her human form. "At last," she said to herself. Being careful, she snuck up to a big barn. Looking around she opened the door and went inside, the sound of gentle lowing greeting her. Going to the first stall, her fangs descended as her head lowered. Five minutes later she leaned against the boards, blood dripping from her mouth, her face in ecstasy. She went back outside, locking the door. She rubbed the necklace and soon was back in her room. Jaguar was sitting on the bed waiting for her, seeing the blood on her face. "You didn't, did you?"

"Did what?" Panther asked as she took her clothes off.

"Take a human?"

"No! I would never go against the Council! I found a farm on the other side of the woods."

Jaguar sighed in relief. "Better hide those fangs and wipe yourself off."

While Panthera cleaned up, Jaguar asked how was it. "It was pure ecstasy!" Panthera purred. "I have to go back for more."

There was a knock on the door. The girls quickly got under the covers. Panthers pulled them over her head. The door opened. Jackie peeked inside. Jaguar pretended to stir. "Just checking," Jackie whispered and closed the door.

Panthera hid the towel amongst the dirty clothes. "Tomorrow we'll have to do some laundry."

"The next time you get the urge, take me with you." Jaguar said as Panthera got back in bed.

Chapter 9

The next morning the group went through their usual warm-ups and workouts. Al had them assemble in the gym. "From now on we'll be spending our days here honing your wrestling skills. Here you'll receive more bruises and sore muscles than all the workouts you've been doing in the weight room. How you do here will determine if you have the heart to make it or not.

Al climbed in the ring and asked for a volunteer. And so it began, the endless repetitions of falls, takedowns, flips, jumps, sidearm smashes, etc. At the end of their fifth week the group had dwindled down to six, Panthera and Jaguar the only females left. And of course, they were pushed the hardest. Many nights they lay in their beds, sometimes too tired to move.

One morning during training, Al had the group pair up to go against each other. Al had the girls each paired against a male. As he stood in the corner, he referred while watching each pair go against each other. Jaguar was first. As soon as Al said go, Jaguar took her opponent down, which surprised the young man. Getting up, she pulled him up and threw him into the ropes, bouncing him off, immediately laying him out on the floor again with a sidearm smash. While he was down, she went to the corner and climbed on the top rope. She jumped, landing her leg across his chest. She again went to the top rope. The young man slowly got up. Just as he turned, she jumped and dropped kicked him back to the mat. She quickly rolled him up. Al did a three count. Al said good job as Jaguar went past him and climbed over the ropes. It was Panthera's and her opponent's (named John) turn.

They faced each other, the young man towering over her. At Al's nod, the two went at each other. As he went to grab her, she ducked and ran to the side ropes. Bouncing off the ropes she flung herself at him, knocking him to the floor. Getting up, she immediately came down with an elbow smash, then went for the pin. The young man threw her off, then got up and took her by the arm, throwing her into the corner. As he charged in, she used the ropes for leverage and kicked him in the chin. Taking advantage, she flung him a hard as she could. Bouncing off the ropes, he ran into a standup drop kick, sending him to the mat and pinned his shoulders. Al counted. When she went to help him up, the young man threw her hand off. After the other pairs were through, Al called the young man to the side.

"He has a bit of a temper," Jaguar observed. "Probably didn't like the fact a female beat him."

"He hasn't seen my temper yet," Panthera said, wiping her face with a towel. "There's something about him that bothers me though. It's been that way ever since we got here. I catch him looking real odd at us, like he's studying us."

"Oh? Maybe he wants a date."

Panthera gave her a cynical look. "Cute. Real cute."

The rest of the day was spent on correcting any mistakes they had made in the ring. At six, they went back to the dorm. Tazz told them they were going out for a bit to relax. At 7:30 they entered a bar and grill, a small band was playing. Seeing what the others were having, the girls each ordered a glass of beer. They watched the couples out on the dance floor. "Looks like they're having fun," Jaguar said in Panthera's ear.

Suddenly the small hairs on the back of her neck began to bristle. She put her glass down and looked around. Her eyes focused on the bar. She saw John talking to someone. As the person turned, she saw the red eyes. She quickly turned back to the dance floor.

"See those two women there?" John pointed to Jaguar and Panthera.

The stranger nodded. "You have done well, my young friend. You are sure they are virgins?"

"I don't know. They keep to themselves."

"Perhaps they don't care for men," the stranger's brows arched.

"They're sisters, or at least that's what I found out. They don't look like sisters. The dark haired one was the one who kicked my ass today. I kind of got a bit pissed."

The stranger laughed softly. "So they have spirit. Good, You know what to do."

John took his drink over to the table and sat down, much to the girls' surprise. "I want to apologize for the way I acted. I kind of got carried away for a bit."

"That's okay," Panthera said.

'I was wondering if you girls would like to meet a friend of mine. He's standing over at the bar."

The girls turned, the stranger lifted his glass. Panthera nodded. "Okay, bring him over."

When John left, Jaguar grabbed Panthera's arm. "Why did you do that? You know what he is."

"I know. But father said to use whatever means to find and kill them."

John brought his friend over and introduced them. "It is such a rare sight to see two such beautiful women." The man kissed the backs of their hands. "I was wondering if perhaps you would like to go to a party not far from here."

"Well, we did come with a group," Jaguar said. "I think we should leave when they do."

"It's only 8:30. We wouldn't be gone long," John said. "We'll be back in plenty of time."

The girls nodded. Looking around they saw Al and Tazz talking to some people in the far corner. "We'll meet you out front." The men left. The girls got up shortly after and went out the door. They saw a car out front waiting. The driver side window opened. "Your limo awaits you." The girls got in the back, feeling their waists, making sure their weapons were ready. After riding for ten minutes, they pulled into a parking garage. The car was driven to a dark, secluded spot at the back. The men helped the girls out. "Sorry to park in such a dark area, but I find that people generally don't care to be in such an area. It seems to scare them. Shall we?"

The girls went ahead, inching their hands toward their weapons. From out of the shadows, two figures emerged, red eyes glowing, their mouths open, fangs ready. The girls pretended to be frightened. "Two more for our orgy," one of them said.

The girls took out their weapons quickly and attacked. John's mouth gaped in shock as he saw the glint of silver. He turned to see his friend looking at him. "So, you are a traitor!" The girls were kicking and back handing the two vampires. As one of them rose, Jaguar brought down the knife and slit him open from the neck to his waist, his scream like that of a banshee. Panthera threw off the second vampire and quickly jumped to her feet. As the second one went to get up, she picked up her hatchet and did a side arm motion, cutting the head off. Immediately the smell of sulfur filled the air as the bodies dissolved, leaving a pile of clothes on top of two dark spots. They heard a hiss and turned around to see the stranger had just sucked the blood from John, then taken him by the throat and thrown him against the wall, smashing his skull as he slid down, leaving a trail of blood. Panthera leapt at the stranger, slicing his head off, his body dissolving immediately.

The girls went over to John's lifeless body, his eyes still open. "There's nothing we can do, sis. Come on, we have to get back to the bar."

They wiped their weapons on his clothing and tucked them underneath their clothes. Holding their necklaces, they were soon back in front of the bar. They were about to go back in when the door opened, Al, Tazz and the rest of the group coming out. "There you are," Tazz said. "We looked all around the bar,"

"It got a bit too warm in there so we came outside to get some air," Jaguar said.

"It's time we left," Al said, looking around. "Where's John?"

"The last time we saw him, he was going out the door," Panthera said.

"Well, we can't wait on him. We have a busy day tomorrow."

The next morning, they checked his room. His bed had not be slept in, his clothes still there. At breakfast Al and Tazz decided John would be told to leave as soon as he arrived for breach of house rules. The group went through their paces, the girls not saying a word. At dinner that night, one of the group was reading the evening paper.

"Hey, listen to this. It seems the police were called to a parking garage early this morning. It seems an attendant found a body of a young man, his skull crushed, blood on the wall and all over the floor. What the police can't explain is that the body was white as a sheet, as if all the blood had been sucked out of him. It says they found 3 dark spots with a pile of clothing on each one of them. Somebody must have been a real sicko, because there was blood on the body's clothing, as if they wiped their weapons off."

The girl looked at one another, sorry the young man died, but knew there had been no other way. They were there to do a job, no matter the consequences.

Chapter 10

What was left of the group continued their training. A week later, Al found a voice mail on his phone. It was Vince saying he was coming within the next day or so to look at the progress of the group adding that they were not to know. Al told Tazz and Jackie privately while the group was taking a break.

"When Vince sees Panthera and Jaguar he is going to flip," Al said.

"Yeah, but not as wrestlers. He'll see them as another pair of empty-headed divas."

When Vince arrived two days later, Al had taken the group to the weight room. Tazz took Vince to an observation room which was hidden behind a two-way mirror. Al brought the group back to the gym to practice their in-ring moves. As soon as Vince spied the girls, his mouth dropped open and his brows arched in surprise. The girls had decided that day to wear t-shirts and shorts, which were tight enough to accentuate their shape. He watched in fascination their movements. "Who are those two?" he asked, pointing to the girls.

"Panthera and Jaguar," Tazz replied.

"Those are their real names?"

Tazz nodded. "They're sisters. Ever since this started those two have made quite an impact. They're well ahead of the group."

Vince watched the girls, not looking at the rest of the group as they went through the paces. All he saw were dollar signs as he pictured them in skimpy bikinis on a white beach, the WWE's newest and hottest divas.

Al knew how Vince felt about women wrestlers, seeing them more as cheesecake for the male population to ogle at. He doubted if the girls would ever get to wrestle much. He called Jackie over. "Let's give Vince a demonstration of what they can do."

Al called the girls over and said they would be wrestling against him and Jackie. He had everyone stand outside the ring. Jackie and Jaguar went in first. Al gave the signal for the match to begin. The women circled each other, looking for an opening. Being somewhat shorter, Jackie used her size and experience, taking Jaguar down by the legs. Jaguar pushed her back and quickly got up. Both went at each other, this time Jackie flinging Jaguar into the corner. She rushed at Jaguar who lifted her foot and kicked Jackie in the chin, making her stagger. Seizing the opportunity, Jaguar climbed the corner rope and did a flying leap. Jackie saw her and rolled out of the way. Both women got up, Jackie running to the ropes and going at Jaguar, intending on doing a forearm smash. Jaguar ducked and turned around as Jackie came back at her again.

In the observation room, Vince watched with interest. "Which one is this?"

"That's Jaguar."

Jaguar waited and caught Jackie in a sleeper hold. Al did the three count and called the match over. Jaguar let go. Jackie shook her head, then extended her hand. "That was good. We'll have to do this again." Jaguar smiled.

Al motioned for Panthera. "Hey sis. Time to show up teacher," Jaguar smiled as Panthera got in the ring.

"This is Panthera. This is the one we all consider to be the most dangerous of the two as you never know what she'll do."

At first Panthera stood in the corner, then went to the center of the ring, her attention distracted for a bit. Al immediately took her down. "Keep your mind on your opponent," he whispered. Panthera kicked out of his hold and got up. She circled Al like a cat circling its prey. He came at her, intending to do a fireman take down. Panthera ducked and ran to the ropes and bounced off, doing a flying body tackle, knocking him onto his back. Getting up, she kicked him in the side a few times then did a leg drop. Her blood rushing, she pulled him up and threw him against the ropes. Timing his bounce, Panthera did a standing drop kick, landing it on his sternum close to the heart, knocking the breath out of him. Rolling him onto his stomach, she took his arm and twisted it up the back toward his shoulder, applying pressure. Al sucked in his breath, the pain apparent on his face. Holding out as long as he could, he finally tapped out. For a few seconds Panthera kept up the pressure then let go, getting out of the ring. Jaguar went over to her sister and saw how Panthera's eyes glazed with excitement. "Hey sis, I said show teacher, not try to hurt him."

Panthera took a couple of deep breaths. She looked at Al as he sat up, gingerly moving his shoulder. She went back in the ring and helped him up. He eyed her. "I pity any man that pisses you off."

In the booth, Vince was amazed at the height Panthera had gotten on the drop kick. "That's incredulous. That kick had to be at least 45 inches high! Get those two to my office in two weeks to sign their contracts!"

They left the booth and went over to the ring. Everyone but Jaguar and Panthera gasped as they recognized him. Tazz introduced him. "Girls, this is Vince McMahon, owner of the WWE."

Vince shook their hands. "Young ladies, it's a pleasure to meet you. I came here to see how things were progressing. Today has exceeded my expectations." Al stood beside the girls, still rubbing his shoulder. "You've done a good job training them. Bring them to the headquarters in a couple of weeks to sign contracts. The we'll get them fitted for their costumes and their debut on RAW."

Vince waved at everyone and left. Al, Tazz, and Jackie were all smiles. The rest of the group congratulated the girls. "Well, you're now going to the big time," Tazz said.

The girls were somewhat dazed, then it sunk in. They had made it. That night Panthera took Jaguar to the barn where she had been the first time. The girls drank their fill, blood running down their chins, in celebration.
