Chapter I - The Meeting

Here I am on a plane bound for Houston. I was to be Margaret's maid of honor. She would be marrying Mark, a.k.a. The Undertaker.

I wasn't in Memphis when they met, but Margaret kept me informed as the relationship progressed.

The Moontribes sisters were as happy for her as I was. She had won the big man's heart. We all seemed to know that they belonged together. In 2 weeks they would be married. As the plane landed, my excitement grew. I would be seeing Margaret again and meeting the sisters. Some of them were with Margaret when I got off the plane. As we greeted each other, it was like meeting an old friend for the first time.

The next two weeks were busy with dress fittings, planning and preparations. Margaret was telling the sisters who they would be paired with and everyone was pleased with the arrangements. I found out earlier Kane was to be Mark's best man!

When the wrestlers Mark had picked as groomsmen arrived, there was a gathering at Mark and Margaret's home so everyone could get acquainted. Kane arrived a little late. I was with the others when I noticed Kane standing at the door with Margaret and Mark. All I could do was look at him. How strikingly handsome he was in person! Dressed in jeans and a tight white t-shirt. A full, nicely trimmed red beard and moustache, blue-green eyes, and long curly hair loose about his shoulders.

As I regained my senses, I noticed Mark smiling and gesturing for me to join them. Fighting the urge to turn and run, I made my way over to them, feeling like my knees were going to buckle at any minute. As I reached them, Margaret, sensing my nervousness, put a reassuring arm around me and said, "Sharon, this is Mark's brother, Kane."

Mark said, "Unfortunately, you have to put up with him as your escort for the wedding."

Kane put his hand out and I put my hand in his. In a rich, deep voice, he said, "Hello, Sharon."

Trying real hard to sound calm, I said, "Hi. It's nice to meet you."

We just looked at each other for a moment, still hand in hand. He turned to Margaret and said, "You're right, she is pretty."

I resisted the urge to ask him if he needed glasses and said, "Thank you." I could feel myself blush. I put my head down, hoping no one would notice. But Mark said, "Look, you made her blush!" I saw Margaret poke him in the ribs. He looked at her and said, "What did I do?"

Kane, still holding my hand, said, "Let's get a drink, find some place quiet, and get acquainted." I suggested we go outside as it was getting hot in the house.

With my hand still in his, he lead me outside and into the garden. "This is where Mark proposed to Margaret," he said. "Yes, it is beautiful."

We found a bench and sat down. It was a small bench. When we sat, our hips and thighs pressed together. I felt the warmth of his body spread through mine. I looked up at him and he was looking at me, but quickly turned away. This made me a little uneasy, so I stood and said, "Maybe we should go for a walk." He grabbed my arm and said, "No. I like it here better."

His words put me at ease and I sat back down. We talked and it was like we have known each other for years. After what seemed like only moments, we heard Mark calling. We stood to see what he wanted.

"Do you two think you can come back in and join us. You've been out here for over an hour," he said in a very stern voice.

Kane and I looked at each other, not believing it had been that long. Mark stood with his hand on his hips. "Well," he said. Kane laughed and said, "Yes, Lord of Darkness" as we followed him into the house.
