Someone for Kane
Written By Lady Cat

Chapter 6

Melissa arrived early the next night and picked up her backstage pass. She had dressed casual as she didn't know where he would take her. She walked around the lobby, getting something to drink. She looked at the time and headed to her seat. She was sitting behind and to the left of the commentator's table. With camera in hand, she settled in for the matches.

It was another ten minutes before they started. After the opening fanfare, the matches began. She felt herself getting into the matches. She thought, "Now I'm beginning to act like Beth and Marsha." She remembered Glen, or Kane as he was known, was to wrestle in a tag match with Undertaker for the tag titles. The match was next.

After the tag champs came out, the arena became dark. Then the familiar explosion and pyros went off. She stood up as Glen's music played. She watched as he came down the ramp, walking tall and straight. Glen raised his arms then brought them down; the ring posts spewing fire. After Undertaker's entrance, the match began.

Melissa shook her head at Glen's athletic ability. She gasped when she saw him climb the corner post and jump off, knocking his opponent to the mat. At one point, Glen and the opponent were fighting outside the ring, each banging the other against the announcer's table. Then Glen picked him up and tossed him over the rail into the crowd. Security kept the crowd back. At one point, Glen turned his head slightly and saw her standing there watching. He smiled inside his mask. Then they were back over the rail and in the ring. Undertaker was getting ready to do his finishing move. Glen now had his opponent the same way. As if on cue, the both of them gave the "Last Ride", pinning their opponents for the titles.

There were two more matches, then it was over. Getting her pass out, she showed the security guard who took her backstage. As she stood there, several of the wrestlers smiled at her. One of them, Triple H, came over. "Are you looking for someone?"

"I'm waiting for someone."

"Is it me?" he asked with a smile.

"No, I'm afraid not."

Melissa looked around, then smiled and waved. "Here he comes."

Triple H turned, a shocked look on his face when he saw it was Glen.

After the match, Glen had gone to the locker room to get ready. Making sure no one was around, he removed the mask. He quickly showered and dressed, putting his everyday mask on. He looked at himself in the mirror. He was nervous. This would be the first time he was actually going out. He had decided on jeans, a white shirt, and boots. "I hope I'm dressed okay." Just before he left the locker room, he said to himself, "Glen, don't blow it."

As he walked down the hallway, all the guys stared at him. This was the first time they had seen him dressed before everyone was gone. "I wonder what's going on? Glen's never done this before," Bradshaw said.

When he had turned the corner, he had seen Triple H talking to Melissa. He got a sad look when he saw her talking to him. He had seen her smile then wave in his direction, Triple H shocked. He walked up to the both of them.

"Hi,"she said.

"Hi, Melissa. Ready?"

"Yes. Let's go."

Glen didn't say a word to Triple H, leaving him to stare as they left. When Triple H entered the locker room, the guys saw him with a dazed expression.

"Hey! What's with you? You look like you've seen a ghost," Farooq said.

Blinking his eyes, Triple H shook his head. "You guys are never going to believe this. I was talking to this gorgeous brunette, the one I told you about I had seen some months ago. I asked what she was doing. She said she was waiting on someone. I jokingly asked was it me. She said no. Then she smiled and waved, saying he was coming. I turned around. You'll never guess who."

"Who?"

"Glen!"

"What? You've got to be kidding! You sure?"

"Yeah, I'm sure. I still can't believe it."

"Must be a groupie."

"No, this one isn't a groupie. This one has class written all over her. They knew each other, too, but from where?"

"Imagine that, Glen going out on a date!"

All the guys, except Mark, sat there dazed.

Chapter 7

"Where do you want to go?" Glen asked.

"I don't care. Wherever you're comfortable with," she replied.

He drove to a small restaurant on the outskirts. They entered, the lights dimly lit. "I like coming here. As you can see the lights are low, that way no one can stare at me."

They were seated at a corner table, the waiter lighting small candles. They ordered drinks and dinner. Glen saw Melissa's face glow in the candlelight, her eyes reflecting the flame. "Why did she go with me? She's so beautiful," he thought to himself.

Melissa saw how he was looking at her. "What are you looking at, Glen?"

"How beautiful you are."

Melissa smiled. "Thank you, Glen."

"I was wondering, too, why did you go out with me? It couldn't be for my looks." He said, looking in his glass.

"Why do you put yourself down? What do looks have to do with it? Because of the fact you wear a mask to hide your face? I know we've basically just met, but I can see there is more to you than that."

After they had eaten, Glen drove back to the beach. He walked her to her door. "Do you want to come in for a nightcap?" she asked. Glen nodded and followed her in.

"What would you like? A glass of wine?"

He nodded, going out on the patio to look at the ocean. Melissa looked at Glen for a few minutes. "I like him." She took the glasses out to the patio. "Here you go," she said. She handed him his glass, touching his hand as she did so.

Glen felt how warm and soft her hands were. He turned to look at the ocean again. Melissa took a sip and leaned against the rail. "I love to hear the ocean. It helps me sleep," she said. "Do you like it?"

"Yes, it helps me to relax. I sometimes walk along the water's edge just to think. I do it real late at night or early in the morning."

"How about now? I wouldn't mind taking a short walk."

They went down the steps the short distance to the water's edge. They walked slowly up the beach, neither one not saying much. They came to an outcrop of rock and sat a few minutes. "I'd better get back. I've got to be on the road in the morning. It's just up the coast, but I like to get there early."

They walked back. Before Melissa went up the steps, she kissed him on the cheek. "Good night, Glen. Thank you for a wonderful evening."

Glen watched her as she went in, then went home. As he lay in bed, he still felt her kiss. It had been warm and soft. He closed his eyes, his thoughts on a pair of warm lips.

Chapter 8

Glen found he was to make several personal appearances at various cities, which would keep him on the road for at least a month as well as wrestling. "It looks like I'll be gone for a month. Will you be here or are you going back?" he asked the next morning.

"I'll be going back. My work here is done. I do plan on keeping the beach house as a retreat. I like living on the beach as the 'neighbors' are very friendly," she said with a sly grin.

Glen chuckled. Before he left, Melissa gave him her phone number and address. Glen left the next day for his appearance, Melissa the day after.

She arrived at her apartment somewhat tired. She called Beth and Marsha to let them know she was back in town. Thirty minutes later they were there to welcome her back. The girls asked how was California. Melissa told them she had a good time there.

"How about we go out and celebrate your homecoming?" Marsha asked.

"No, thanks girls. Maybe some other time. I just want to relax."

The phone rang. Melissa picked up. "Hello?"

"Hi, 'Lissa. It's Glen."

"Glen! Hi, how's the tour going?"

"It's hectic and tiring. I think I'm going to have to grow another hand. This one's about had it," he said with a slight chuckle. "When did you get in?"

"About a couple of hours ago. A couple of friends of mine are here right now. We're just sitting around catching up on the latest."

"I'll call back later. Right now I'm taking a break before going to the arena for my match."

"Okay. I'll be expecting your call." Melissa hung up.

The girls looked at Melissa. "Who is Glen?" they asked.

"A guy I met. A very nice guy too."

"Oh, really! What does he look like? Is he cute?"

"How tall is he?"

"What does he do for a living?"

"Hold it girls! You don't need to know everything about him. Like I told you. He's a very nice guy I met. That's it." When the time was right she intended for them to meet him. She was going to have a good time with their reaction.

Beth and Marsha were disappointed. "Ah, come on, 'Lissa!"

"When the time is right,I'll introduce him to you."

The girls stayed another hour then left. Melissa took a hot shower then sat on the bed, waiting for Glen to call. She woke up to the phone ringing. She picked up. It was Glen.

"Hi, Glen," she said in a sleepy voice. She looked at the clock. It was just after midnight. "I must have dozed off."

"I forgot you're three hours ahead. Maybe I should call tomorrow."

"It's okay. How was your match?"

"I won."

"I'm glad."

"We're coming back that way in about a week. There's going to be a banquet held at the WWE Restaurant. It's a black tie affair. I was wondering if you wanted to go?"

"Sure, I'll go. When and at what time?"

"It's this Saturday night. It starts at 7:00. I'll pick you up at six. I hadn't planned on going but, I don't know, I just thought this time I would."

"I'll be ready. You said it was a black tie affair, right?"

"Yeah."

"It will be something to see you dressed up."

They talked for a few more minutes, then hung up. She lay there picturing Glen in a tuxedo. She smiled. With his height and build he would be a knockout.

The week went by fast. Melissa spent the afternoon picking out a dress, bathing and getting ready. She chose a white gown, a silver pin holding it on at one shoulder, a slit that went up to the middle of her thigh, silver open-toed shoes and a choker. She looked at herself in the mirror. "I wonder what he'll think." She played up her green eyes, wearing her hair down.

At six there was a knock. Melissa answered. It was Glen, on time, in white tux and black tie. He was just like she pictured. When Glen saw Melissa, his knees almost gave out, not able to say a word at first. Finally he was able to speak. "Wow!" Melissa blushed.

"Are you ready?" he asked.

"Yes, I'll just get my purse."

Glen could hardly believe he was taking her to the banquet. "Glen, you are one lucky guy," he said to himself.

When they exited the building there was a limo waiting out front. Melissa gasped. "A limo!"

"Why not?"

"Glen, they're expensive to rent!"

They got in the car for the thirty-minute drive to the restaurant. While they rode, Glen told her about his appearances and matches.

"Glen, you shouldn't have rented a limo. Your car would have been good enough."

"I wanted to do this."

They arrived at the restaurant amidst a crowd of fans, cameras popping all over the place. They were soon inside, entering an elevator to go up a couple of floors to the banquet room. Across the hall was a ballroom where they would be dancing later.

When they entered the banquet room, all the guys were in shock. They couldn't believe Glen was attending the banquet and, to top it off, was bringing a date.

"Who's that with Glen?" Farooq asked, his mouth open.

"That's the one I told you about. The one he picked up in San Diego," Triple H said with envy.

"Damn! She's a knockout!" Bradshaw said.

"Where did Glen find her?" Bill Gunn piped in.

"I don't know, but I wouldn't mind finding out more about her," Triple H commented, watching as they walked to a table in the corner.

Glen saw some of the guys looking at him, clearly seeing shock on their faces. He thought he saw something else too - envy. He smiled to himself then put his hand in hers. Melissa looked up at him and smiled as she too had seen the look of shock.

They found a corner table and sat. Melissa looked at all the wrestlers there. Some had brought their wives or girlfriends. A dark-haired man came over. "Glen, this is a surprise! I hadn't thought you would be coming." He looked at Melissa. "Who is this gorgeous woman with you?"

"This is Melissa Connors," he replied. "Melissa, this is Vince McMahon. He owns the WWE."

"How do you do," she said, shaking his hand.

"It's nice to meet you," Vince said. He saw someone waving at him. Excusing himself, he left them alone.

Melissa heard a deep voice from behind. She turned to see it was Mark who had brought his girlfriend along.

"Melissa, this is Mark Calloway, better known as Undertaker. He's my tag partner."

"Nice to meet you," she said.

Mark motioned Glen to the side and whispered with a wink, "Pardner, you did alright for yourself." Glen smiled, nodding his head.

Soon the rest of the wrestlers came over to Glen and introduced themselves. Triple H stayed back, watching the both of them. He was wondering how could Glen have gotten someone as gorgeous as her to go with him. If they were going together, he was going to have to see to it that it didn't last long.

"I didn't realize you were this popular," she said.

"I didn't realize it either. I generally don't talk to them much. I guess it's who I have with me. I think they're surprised I have a date."

Everyone soon seated themselves and the banquet began. Afterwards they went across the hall to the ballroom. Glen was apprehensive. "I don't dance very well."

"Who says we have to dance? We can listen and watch the others trip all over themselves," she said with a grin.

They sat for a few minutes. The band began playing a slow tune. Glen decided to take a chance. "Would you care to dance?" he asked. "If you don't mind two left feet."

"If you really want to."

Glen got up and took her hand, leading her to the floor. It took a few steps, but Glen soon was dancing to the rhythm. "You don't do bad," she said.

Glen held her close, looking in her eyes, becoming lost in them. Melissa felt the strength in his arms, yet how tenderly he held her. For the rest of the evening they danced. Everyone watching them, still in a state of shock that Glen had showed up, with a date, and was now on the dance floor. One in particular was doing so, ignoring his own date, eyes watching like a hawk. Before long, Glen and Melissa were dancing very close, their arms around each other. At midnight they left. When they arrived at her apartment she asked if he wanted to come in for a nightcap. He thought he should leave but went upstairs with her.

Chapter 9

Melissa poured them each a glass of wine. "Glen, I had a wonderful time," she said, and then chuckled.

"What's so funny?"

"The looks on the other wrestlers' faces when we came in. I loved it. You'll be the topic of conversation for a long time."

"I guess I will at that."

Melissa went over to her CD player and began looking at some of her CD's. She loaded one in the player. It was a slow tune. "Let's dance some more," she said, taking Glen's glass and putting it down.

"I thought you would have had enough of my dancing."

"We danced all evening, so you didn't do too bad."

Melissa put her arms around him, her body close to his as she swayed to the music. Glen wrapped her in his arms, her head now resting on his chest. As they danced, Melissa put her head back. Glen stopped. Looking in her eyes, he tenderly touched her cheek, and then lowered his head, his lips softly touching hers. Melissa traced his lips with her tongue, coaxing them open as she traced the inside of his mouth, her arms now around his neck.

Glen groaned, his body shaking from the sensation. He tightened his arms, his tongue now intertwining with hers. He broke it off. "I should go," he said in a shaky voice, stepping back to go to the door. Melissa held his hand. "No, Glen. Stay with me."

Glen looked at her, her eyes inviting him. She backed up, pulling his hand for him to follow. When they entered her room, she took his coat off, putting it on the chair. Next came the tie, slowly undoing the bow, dropping it on top. Glen helped her, stepping out of his shoes as she slipped the shirt off his massive arms. He felt goose bumps on his body has her fingers lazily caressed his chest, sliding down to undo his belt. She knelt, pulling his pants down, helping him to step out of them. She came up, running her hands along his muscular thighs. Glen could feel her warm breath.

Melissa stepped back, undoing the clasp on her shoulder. Glen watched the dress fall to the floor. All she had on underneath was a pair of white, very brief lace panties. She undid the choker, letting it fall to the floor. Glen felt as if he had been with a sledgehammer. Taking his hand, she back stepped to the bed, pulling him on top of her as she lay down. She brought his face down to hers. With a groan he kissed her urgently. He tore his lips from hers; kissing her cheek, neck, going down to her breasts. Grasping one, he took the tip in his mouth, sucking it, running his tongue over the tip. Melissa ran her fingers through his hair, her body shuddering as he moved to the other. "OH GLEN!" she moaned.

His head moved lower, kissing her stomach on the way down, his fingers stroking around her thighs, then over the briefs that covered her. Lifting her hips, Melissa pushed them down. Glen removed them, dropping them to the floor, then kissed all around her thighs, his fingers stroking the outer lips of her womanliness, going inside, feeling the heat and wetness. "Please!" she groaned, moving her hips. Sliding lower, he put her legs on his shoulders, then lowered his face, running his tongue up and down. "She tastes like warm honey," he thought to himself. His shaft was aching now, wanting a share of the warmth. Melissa held his head, her hips bucking with every stroke of his tongue. She was close to exploding when he came up. When his face was above hers, she reached down and grasped him, running her hand back and forth. Every nerve in his body was on fire. "I can't wait! I've got to be in you!" he moaned. Wrapping her legs around him, she guided him in her.

"Oh damn! he cried as he entered. Melissa gasped as she felt him go all the way in. Slowly he moved in and out, her tightness gripping him like a glove. She dug her nails in his back as she moved with him, every stroke sending the both of them higher. Glen bent his head to her breast taking the tip in his mouth. He could feel his need to release coming closer. Groaning, he sped up his strokes, sucking her tip harder, pulling it. He lifted his head, "'Lisa, I'm coming!" he cried. With one final stroke he came. Melissa could feel his warmth fill her, sending her over, her body shaking as her juices mixed with his.

Glen collapsed on top of her, the both of them panting. Shaking, Glen rolled to her side, pulling her close to him. Melissa was shaking also, her head on his chest. Glen turned her face to him, kissing her as she put her hand on his cheek. Reaching down, he pulled the sheet over them, the both of them drifting off to sleep.

Chapter 10

Glen woke up around mid-morning, not realizing at first where he was. He felt something warm snuggled up against him. He lightly kissed her forehead, then closed his eyes, vividly recalling every detail.

Melissa opened her eyes, seeing Glen had his eyes closed. Thinking he was still asleep, she began kissing his chest, running her tongue over his nipples, taking each one in her mouth. A very low moan came from Glen's throat. She sat up and got on top, sitting on his stomach, kissing her way down. She shifted her body down, rubbing her slit back and forth over his shaft. Glen groaned, feeling the heat of her as he felt himself harden. He opened his eyes and lifted his head, seeing her head between his thighs, licking all around then taking the two orbs into her mouth. Glen gripped the covers, sucking in his breath, his whole body now shaking. Her tongue went up his shaft, licking all around, up and down, tasting her juices as well as his. Licking her lips, she took him in. Glen jumped, his hands going through her hair. "OHH!!!" he groaned out loud, holding her head as he moved his hips. She sucked him harder; Glen rolling his head back and forth. "'Lissa, god please!!! He felt himself ready to explode. She slowly crawled up his body. Bracing herself on his chest, she slowly came down, taking him all the way in, then moved her hips up and down. She hissed as his shaft went all the way to the back, hitting that little spot that was making her body shake. She was ready to explode, her hips moving faster, driving Glen out of his mind as he moved with her. Both cried out as they released, Melissa throwing her head back as she felt him come in her, his warmth filling her.

Melissa collapsed on top, breathing heavily, her head on his chest. Glen lifted her head, a dazed look in his eyes. "'Lissa! God, I've never been loved like this!" He brought her head down, grinding his lips into hers, then rolled her onto her back, kissing her till she could barely breathe. He lifted his head. "I liked you from the first moment I saw you. I didn't think anyone like you would even think of me."

Melissa touched his cheek. "I look to see what's inside, not outside. And inside I've found a very special man."

Glen lay beside her, pulling the sheet back over them as they drifted back off to sleep. About mid-afternoon there was a loud banging on her door. Melissa woke up, wondering who this could be. Glen felt her get up, hearing the banging noise as well. "You expecting anyone?"

"No. I'll bet its Beth and Marsha." Putting on her robe she went to answer the door. Sure enough, it was them. "Well, good morning, or should we say afternoon, sleepy head?" Marsh quipped.

"My, my, what happened to you?" Beth asked. "Rough night?"

"Hi, girls. Didn't expect to see you," Melissa said, running her fingers through her hair. "I wasn't sleepy, so I stayed up most of the night. It was early this morning before I went to bed."

Glen got up as quietly a possible and stood by the door.

"'Lissa, when are you going to tell us about this Glen character? We've been your best friends for a long time. Don't you think we deserve to know?"

"I will tell you when the time is right."

"Anyway, we were wondering if you wanted to go to a movie with us?"

"No, I don't feel like a movie. I'd rather stay here. I'm still tired."

"Okay, but it's one you've been wanting to see for a while."

"No thanks girls."

"Beth, we'd better get going. The movie starts in half an hour."

The girls got up to leave. "Sure you won't change your mind?"

"Quite sure. You can eat my share of the popcorn."

"See you tomorrow."

Melissa shut the door, glad they were gone. She went back in the bedroom. Glen caught her from behind. "How come you didn't tell your friends you had company?"

"It's none of their business."

"How did they know about me?"

"They don't know it's you per se. All they know is that I met a nice guy named Glen. Now, I'm going to take a shower. Want to join me?"

Glen wanted to, but knew he would have to take his mask off. Melissa saw the hesitation. "I'll wait for you to finish," he said.

Melissa went into the bathroom. She knew he was still sensitive about his mask. But, if they were to have a real relationship, he would have to trust her. She turned around and went back to the bedroom.

"Glen, I have a question to ask you. Do you want us to be together? I want an honest answer."

Glen looked down at the floor for a bit then raised his head. "I would like that, yes."

"Then you will have to trust me. I want you to take your mask off."

Glen got up, a surprised look on his face. "'Lissa, I can't!"

"Why? What are you afraid of? Afraid that I'll be repulsed or laugh at you?"

Glen turned his head away and nodded.

Melissa gently turned his face to hers. "Glen, you have to trust me. Please!"

With a shaking hand Glen undid the straps, then slowly took it off. Melissa didn't say anything for a few seconds, then she reached up and gently touched the scars. Glen saw no revulsion in her eyes nor did he hear her laugh. She stood on her toes and gently kissed the scarred cheek. Glen was surprised.

"Glen, It's not what's outside that counts. It's what's in here," she said, pointing to her heart.

Glen pulled her to his chest in a tight hug, his face buried in her neck. "How did I ever find someone like you?"

"Just lucky, I guess," she said with a grin. "Now, do you still want to join me?" she asked with a wicked look on her face.

Melissa led him to the bathroom where they took a long and leisurely shower. As they dried off, Glen remembered he had only his tux. "How about we order in? It shouldn't take long to get here," she said. Melissa called for pizza delivery, ordering two extra large pizzas. Glen raised his brows. "I'm starving," she said.

Glen chuckled. "After we eat I have to get back to my hotel and pack. It's back on the road again.

"How long?"

"At least six months," Glen said, shaking his head.

There was a knock. It was their pizzas. Glen hurriedly put his pants and mask on then answered the door. Glen paid for the pizzas, the man just staring at him. As he closed the door, he heard Melissa start to giggle. "Why are you giggling?"

"The look on the man's face. It was priceless. He didn't know what to do."

"I'm beginning to wonder about you," he said with a grin. "Are you always that way?"

"Only around those that are very close to me. Now let's eat."

Glen put the pizzas on the coffee table. The aroma of the food was making his stomach rumble. They tore into the pizzas, eating every slice. "For a woman, you pack away a lot."

"I was starving!"

Glen finished dressing, calling a cab to take him to his hotel. "I wish I didn't have to be on the road so long."

"Call me when you can."

"I have a gut feeling my life has just taken a turn - for the better." Glen held her close.

The sound of a horn brought them to reality. Kissing her, he left.
