The Christmas Story

Chapter 1

It was a couple of days before Christmas. Mark and Glen were looking forward to going home. They had just finished their match against Benoit and Big Show. It had been a physical match, but Mark and Glen won by doing a double chokeslam on Big Show.
They had a few personal appearances to make before they would be able to get home. While at one of the appearances they talked before meeting the fans.

"I can't wait to get some decent sleep," Mark said. "Among other things," A grin on his face.

"I can't either, but I know that's wishful thinking. Those twins of mine will be jumping all over me. It seems like forever since I've seen them. Maybe they won't recognize me," he said.

"Oh, they'll recognize you. How can they not, they look like exact clones of you. Are you sure Sharon had anything to do with them?"

Glen had to laugh. "Oh, she definitely did. I just hate I have to leave her to basically raise them herself. There are times when I've thought about retiring. I miss the boys, and I miss being with Sharon. She's been the bright spot in my life. Without her it would be pretty dull."

They were quiet for a moment. "What about you and Maggie?"

"I feel like you. I miss her a lot. The phone calls help, but it's not the same as being there with her. I asked if she would like to come with me, but she said its better than she stay in the background and not be seen. She says it adds an air of mystery to my character. You know, the fans wonder what kind of woman she is and what she looks like."

"Are you two coming over for Christmas? I know Sharon will be expecting you two to be there."

"We'll be there. I know Maggie has bought a lot of presents for the boys."

"I know its none of my business, but when are you two going to make Sharon and I godparents?"

"We're working on it, Glen. It just seems the time isn't right. And with our road schedules, it makes it even worse. Trust me, you'll be the first to know."

CH. 2

Maggie had popped over to Sharon's house, as was her custom, for coffee. They were best friends, having known each other when Sharon had worked for the WWF and was going with Glen at the time. Sharon introduced Mark to Maggie; it was instant chemistry. The foursome were seen everywhere together. Six months later, the two couples married in a double ceremony. It was decided both couples would settle just outside of Nashville; their houses only a block apart. They were sitting at the kitchen table enjoying the peace and quiet as the twin boys were taking a nap.

"It sure sounds good not to hear the boys. They are a handful," Sharon said, nibbling on a cookie. "I'll be glad when Glen gets here. He can handle the boys while I get things ready."

"Are you going to need any help? You know we could have it at our house."

"No, that's okay. Just do what we planned. Have you got Mark's present yet?"

"No, I don't know what to give him. Every time I think of something, it seems he already has it. He'll be home tomorrow night. I've got to think of something." She took a sip, her eyes looking out the window.

Sharon looked at her friend. She knew Maggie had something else on her mind. When Sharon had the twins, Maggie was ecstatic that she and Mark were named the godparents, but she saw the longing in Maggie's eyes as she held them. Sharon knew that her and Mark were trying but it always seemed the timing was wrong. Sharon thought to herself that if Maggie would relax more perhaps they would make it this time.

Maggie was a very shapely woman. She knew her hourglass figure always caught the men's attention, but she wasn't vain about it. Maggie had thought herself lucky to have Mark. Every woman had vied for his attention, but he had just ignored them. When Sharon had told Mark she wanted him to meet her friend, he thought about not doing so but went ahead. On their first date, when he had kissed her he knew he had met the right one.

Maggie finished her coffee then got up to get her coat. "I'm going home, Sharon. Maybe if I look around the house maybe something will come to mind."

"Okay. I'll see you Christmas about 2."

"Two it is."

Maggie walked the short block back to the house.  After hanging up her coat, she began looking around one more time. "Mark, what can I get you that would please you? You have everything." Then a thought came to her, making her smile. She called Sharon.

"Sharon, I think I've got something. But I may need your help." She told Sharon what she had in mind.

CHAPTER 3

Mark and Glen had made four personal appearances in two days and were exhausted. It was late afternoon on Christmas Eve when they were finally through. They rushed to the airport making it just fifteen minutes before they were to board.

Mark sat in his seat. He had gotten Maggie's present the week before and was safely tucked in his on-board bag. He had seen it in the jewelry store while doing some window- shopping. It was a beautiful gold necklace with a heard-shaped diamond. It was expensive but Maggie was everything to him. He thought to what Glen asked. When Sharon had the twins he saw the longing in her eyes. "Maybe one day, Maggie, we will," he said to himself. He closed his eyes; soon he would be home. He began to think of how good his bed would feel, with Maggie lying in his arms.

Maggie spent all day getting things ready. She babysat the twins as Sharon had some last minute shopping to do. After Sharon had picked up the twins, Maggie finished up. She looked around at what she had done.

It had taken a couple of trips, but she brought in enough wood for the fireplace and prepared it to be lighted later.  She had gone into the storage room and found an air mattress. She pumped air into it and then put satin sheets on it and fluffy pillows. Beside it was an ice bucket and two glasses, a bottle of champagne in it already. Taking one last look, she went upstairs and soaked in a scented tub for half an hour. After drying herself off, she put on a body lotion, massaging it in. She then dabbed on the perfume that always drove Mark crazy, making sure certain areas received their share. She always wore her hair long. After washing it she had brushed it till it shined like silk. She applied make up, accentuating her eyes and full lips. The last thing she did was put on a sheer, lacy black robe, with nothing underneath, she had bought earlier in the day. She had given the keys to Sharon to drive the car down to their house.

Sharon called saying she and the boys were going to the airport. Maggie took one last look around. "Mark, I hope you like what I've done."

CHAPTER 4

Sharon waited inside the terminal. She saw the plane arrive. Glen exited the tunnel first. She pointed, "Look, there's dad!"

Two small bundles ran yelling "Daddy!" Glen saw them coming and knelt down, catching each one in a bear hug. He stood up when Sharon came over. Putting the boys down, he pulled Sharon in his arms, kissing her intensely, the boys laughing.

Mark had gone on to get their luggage, then came over, watching them. "Look, Uncle Mark is here." The two boys ran over yelling, "Hey Uncle Mark!" Mark knelt and gave each one a hug. One of them ran to Glen, tugging on his pants leg, "Daddy, we have to get home or we'll miss Santa." Sharon and Glen looked down at their offspring. "Okay, we're going home."

Mark sat in the back listening to the boys tell their dad what they wanted for Christmas. He thought of how anxious he was to get home, to kiss Maggie's full lips and feel her warm body against him. Sharon turned around. "What did you get Maggie for Christmas?"

"I got her a gold necklace with a heart-shaped diamond."

"She'll love it. I can't wait to see it."

They were soon in front of Mark's house. There were no lights on, the car gone.

"She must have gone out for something," Glen said.

"Must have," Mark said, as he got out and got his luggage. "We'll be over tomorrow afternoon." Mark went up to the front door and went in.

When Glen pulled in the driveway, he saw Maggie's car there. He looked at Sharon. "I thought she went out? What is she doing here?"

"I'll explain when we get in," Sharon said.

After they had entered the house, they got the boys to bed, telling them that Santa wouldn't come if they were up. After tucking them in, Glen and Sharon went downstairs to the kitchen.  "What's going on? Why is her car here?" he asked as he began eating a sandwich.

Sharon explained what was going on. Glen smiled. "We may not see them at all tomorrow." Then he looked at Sharon with that all too familiar twinkle in his eye. "What do you say we do a little of our own?" Sharon blushed. "You know that's how we got the twins."

Glen chuckled. "So, we had fun didn't we?"

Sharon shook her head and smiled. "What do you say?" he asked. Sharon got up and took Glen by the hand and led him up the stairs.

CHAPTER 5

Mark entered hoping she would have been home. Turning on the light, he went upstairs. He looked at the bed; it would feel good to be on something soft.  He went into the bathroom and turned on the shower. When the mirror became foggy, he shed his clothes and stepped in, closing his eyes. "Oh this feels good!"

After he had showered, he entered the room wrapped in a robe. He began brushing his long hair, sitting on the bed to finish. He turned to see a small sheet of paper. The note was in Maggie's handwriting saying for him to come to the den.

He went downstairs seeing a light come from the den. Entering he saw the fire ablaze, the air mattress, and the champagne chilling in the wine bucket. He then caught the scent of Maggie's perfume. He turned when he heard the soft click of the door. He stood there looking at Maggie who had nothing on but a very sheer black robe.

She walked slowly over to him, reached up and cupped his face, bringing it to her and placing her lips on his, her tongue going in his mouth exploring every inch. Mark let out a throaty moan as he wrapped his arms around her, her perfume filling his senses.
They parted looking in each other's eyes. Maggie led him to the bed, her back to the fire. She untied the single ribbon that held it closed. Mark pushed it off her shoulders, letting it fall to the floor. Maggie knelt on the makeshift bed, raising her hand to him. Mark took his robe off, putting his hand in her. She lay back on the mattress, the light from the fire giving her skin a golden glow.

His eyes traveled the length of her body, seeing the fire cast shadows over her. "Maggie you are so beautiful." His fingers traced every curve. "You are so soft," he moaned stretching beside her. Pulling her closer, he kissed her again, parting her lips as he tasted again the warmth of her mouth. Maggie slowly ran her fingers over his body, ending at the crisp curls at the base of his shaft then softly grasped it. Mark sucked in his breath at her touch as he intensified the kiss even more.

Maggie rolled on top of him, sitting up on his stomach. Bending, she started kissing him, at the base of his neck, licking the little spot just below his Adam's apple. Slowly her tongue licked its way to his chest, stopping to nip and suck each nipple till they hardened. Mark groaned as Maggie slid her body lower, sucking in his breath when he felt her slit slide over his hardening shaft. Maggie was now at his thighs, licking all around, sliding her tongue over the two orbs, then going up to his shaft, running her tongue up and down the sides. Mark moved his hips, his fingers running through her silky hair. She closed her mouth over the tip, probing his opening. Mark lifted his hips as she took more of him in "Oh Baby!" he moaned, rolling his head from side to side.

Maggie stopped and slid back up his body, slowly coming down just far enough to take only a bit of him in. She moved up and down, teasing him. Mark was going out of his mind. Grabbing her hips he brought her all the down on his shaft, thrusting in her. Maggie dug her nails in his chest as she could feel him all the way in her. Mark looked at her breasts move, tempting him. Sitting up, he licked one of the tips before taking it in his mouth. Maggie arched her chest. He did the same to the other. Maggie moved faster, her body getting the familiar spiral as she was ready to release.

She called his name as her muscles wrapped around him. At the sound of his name he came in her. They both fell back on the mattress, breathing hard, Maggie on top. After a couple of minutes, she slid to his side, her head on his chest.

CHAPTER 6

Mark wanted more. Sitting up, he took the champagne bottle and opened it, pouring both of them a glass. They took a couple of sips, Maggie seeing a devilish gleam in his eye. Pushing Maggie back down, he tipped the bottle, pouring it in a thin stream on her chest. "Oh, that's cold!" she exclaimed. "Not for long," he replied softly. Bending he began licking the champagne from her, working his way down.

Maggie breathed faster, his hair leaving a trail of sensation as his head went lower. He continued licking the champagne from her, Maggie emitting throaty moans. She felt more champagne being trickled on her, feeling it trickle over her stomach through the dark curls. Mark slid down the mattress, licking through the curls, his tongue prodding her legs open.

Mark gripped her hips as his tongue lapped the champagne from inside her. Maggie raised her hips. She grabbed his head and held him there, moving her hips. "DON'T STOP! PLEASE DON'T STOP!" Mark continued, feeling her body shake as she released.
Kissing his way up, he entered her again. Maggie wrapped her legs around him, moving with him. Mark sucked in his breath. "It's been so long!" he moaned. He thrust harder in her, his body shaking as he could hold back no longer. "DAMN!" he cried out as he came in her, Maggie coming with him.

Mark lay on top of her, his breathing slowing down. Gently he lay on his side, pulling her against his chest. Mark kissed her hand. "Merry Christmas," she softly said.

"Merry Christmas," he replied..

Pulling the sheet over them, they drifted off to sleep.

CHAPTER 7

It was late the next morning when they woke up. "Do you want to go over this afternoon or stay at home?" she asked.

"I wouldn't mind staying here, but we did say we would be there," he replied.

They reluctantly got up and went upstairs to shower. After showering and drying each other, they dressed to go to Glen and Sharon's.

Maggie saw Mark get something from his travel bag. "I'm sorry I didn't get it wrapped. I hope you like it."

Maggie opened the small velvet box. She gasped as she took the necklace out. "It's beautiful!"

"Merry Christmas" as he put it on her.  Maggie turned and wrapped her arms around his neck. When they parted, she dropped her head, "I wish I had given you something better."

"What you gave me last night is the best present any man could get," he said, tilting her chin. "I missed you so much these months. All I could think of was coming home to you, to hold you close to me. I love you, Maggie."

"I love you, too."

"You know we had better get going. I'll never hear the end of it from Glen."

"Neither will I from Sharon," she said smiling.

They quickly finished dressing, getting the presents together. Soon they were out the door.

Earlier that morning, the twins couldn't wait to open their presents. They had gotten up early, running into their parents' room, jumping up and down on the bed. "Daddy! Mommy! Wake up!"

Sharon woke up first, shaking Glen. "Dear, it's time for us to get up and open the presents."

"Can't it wait," Glen mumbled. "I want to sleep."

"Daddy, come on!"

Glen opened one eye and looked at the boys, then closed it. The boys began pulling the covers back, tugging on his arms. "Okay, Okay, I'll get up!" Shuffling his feet, he put on his robe, the boys tugging his arms.

The boys ran downstairs and over to the tree, looking at the presents, wondering which ones were theirs. Glen slowly sat on the floor with them. Sharon brought in cups of hot cocoa for the boys and coffee for her and Glen.

Glen gave the twins their presents, the boys tearing at the paper. Sharon gave Glen his cup. "Oh, did I need that. After last night I didn't think..." Shh, not in front of the boys," she said. Glen smiled and winked at her. He pulled a small box from under the tree and gave it to her. Sharon got his and gave it to him. Sharon opened it. In it was a ring that had four stones - a diamond, emerald, and two rubies. "It's beautiful, Glen" as she put it on. She kissed his cheek. Glen opened his package. In it was a gold watch. He got up and sat on the couch beside her. "Thank you." "Look on the under side. There is an inscription," she said. Glen looked. "To my true love." Glen kissed her.

"I wonder if we'll see Maggie and Mark?" Sharon asked.

"They'll be over. Although it wouldn't surprise me if they didn't," Glen said.

Well, I had better get cooking."

CHAPTER 8

Sharon was almost through cooking when Maggie and Mark arrived. Glen hung up their coats as they went to the living room. The boys were playing with their toys. "Boys, looks like there's more presents for you." The boys looked up, then rushed over to get their presents, taking them back to where they were. Glen and Mark got on the floor with them. Maggie gave Glen his present from the both of them.  She went to the kitchen to see if Sharon needed any help. "Could you use some help?"

"You could set the table. Everything else is about through."

Maggie took the dishes and went to the dining room. Sharon came in to help. "How did it go last night?"

Maggie smiled. "Uh Huh. From the smile things went according to plan." Sharon said slyly.

Maggie showed Sharon the necklace. "It's so beautiful, Sharon. I wish my present could have been better."

"Maggie, there is no greater gift one can give than to give one's self. Oh, look at what Glen gave me." Maggie looked at the ring. "I love it. Did Glen like his?" Sharon opened hers. It was a beautiful outfit.

Sharon nodded. "Let's go to the living room. We have a while yet." Sharon brought in some eggnog.

The two women entered, watching their husbands play with the twins. Maggie watched Mark laugh as the twins were wrestling with him. Glen had gotten the camcorder out.
"He does have a way with kids, doesn't he?" Sharon asked, looking at her friend. "Yes he does," Maggie said in a soft voice." "Maggie, it will happen. Just relax." Maggie turned to her friend. "I hope so, Sharon, I hope so."

Sharon went to the tree and gave Mark and Maggie each their presents. Mark opened his. "Now how did you two know I would like this unless a certain someone told you" looking at Maggie out of the corner of his eye. Maggie smiled as she opened hers. It was a beautiful outfit. "Thanks you two." "Don't thank me, Sharon picked it out." Glen said.
The girls sat on the couch. The couples each took a glass of eggnog and toasted to the holidays. Mark sat next to Maggie on the couch with his arm around her, watching Glen wrestle with his sons. He looked at Maggie out of the corner of his eye, seeing the longing there again. He pulled her tighter to him.  Sharon had gotten up and checked on dinner. She came in ten minutes later, saying everything was ready.

Dinner went slowly, everyone taking their time eating. The men helped clear off the table while the girls fixed the coffee and dessert trays. When they went into the living room the guys were plopped on the couch.

The boys had crawled on Glen's lap, their heads resting on his shoulder. Soon they were asleep. Sharon got a picture of the three of them. Glen looked at his sons, then at Sharon. "Looks like we need to put two sleepy heads to bed."

"I'll help you," Mark said, picking up one of the twins.

Mark watched while Glen tucked the boys in. Mark thought to what Glen said, how he hated that Sharon was alone with the boys. He wanted a child as much as Maggie, but he didn't want to be a stranger to his own child either.

CHAPTER 9

When Maggie and Mark left, Glen closed up the house before going upstairs. Sharon was undressing when he came in. He watched as she went through her nightly ritual.  He always thought himself fortunate to have Sharon. There were others who had tried to date her, but she had picked him. When the twins came along there was no prouder man than him. But with his work schedule he never had any real time to spend with them. He sometimes felt like a stranger when he came home for the short visits. But the boys always knew him, always yelling "Daddy" when he came home.

"What are you thinking about?" Sharon asked, coming over to the bed.

Glen pulled her to him. "I was thinking how lucky I am to have you and the boys. I just hate the thought of you raising them alone while I'm on the road."

"Glen, when I married you I knew what it would be like. You needn't worry about me and the boys. You're on TV. They know who you are. There isn't a day goes by that we don't talk about you."

Glen kissed her, his hands feeling her body. He lifted his head. "What about us doing what we did on our honeymoon?"

Sharon smiled, "I could go for that."

Maggie and Mark were getting ready for bed. Mark watched as Maggie undressed for bed. Last night had been beautiful. For him that was the best Christmas present she could ever give. He walked over to her and wrapped his arms around her. "Don't wear anything to bed. I want to feel your skin next to me." He began kissing her neck; going on to her shoulder as his hands went up and down her body.

Maggie leaned against him with her eyes closed. Just the touch of him always made her feel warm. She could feel him start to rise as his hands fondled her breasts. She moaned as he found her sensitive spot.  Leaning down he picked her up and carried her to the bed, where he continued to feel and kiss her body before slowly gliding in her.

Maggie wrapped her arms and legs around him, matching his thrusts. "You always feel so good," he moaned, burying his face in her neck as he thrust faster in her. Maggie dug her nails in his back as she felt that familiar tight spiral.  Both groaned as they came together. Mark lay on top of her, his breathing ragged. He slowly laid to his side, holding Maggie tightly to him. "I love you," he said, kissing her tenderly. "Maggie put her arm over his chest, "I love you Mark."

CHAPTER 10

Vince gave Glen and Mark an extra two weeks. Glen spent every minute with the boys, playing with them in the snow. Mark and Maggie would come over, Mark joining them.
The girls would watch them, laughing as they threw snowballs at each other. A couple of days before the guys were to leave, they were over at Glen and Sharon's playing cards.

Maggie got up to go to the kitchen to get the snack Sharon fixed. Sharon looked at the kitchen door. "Maggie, need some help?" There was no answer. Sharon looked at the men. "Wonder what's taking her so long?"

Sharon went to the kitchen. When she opened the door, she found Maggie leaning against the counter, looking very pale, about ready to faint. She quickly put her arm around her. "Glen, get a blanket!" Sharon yelled. Mark came in and saw how pale Maggie looked. He picked her up and carried her to the couch. Sharon covered her, propping her legs on the pillows.

"Honey, what happened?" Mark asked, kissing her forehead.

"I was getting the snack ready when suddenly I felt dizzy, my stomach feeling rather queezy."

Sharon smiled. "I know what it is. Let's get you to the emergency care clinic anyway."

They were at the clinic in twenty minutes. Fortunately, they didn't have long to wait. Mark waited out front while a nurse took her to the back, pacing back and forth; the boys occupied with the toys.

Sharon whispered to Glen what her suspicions were. "Do you think?" he whispered back. "We'll know soon enough."

Twenty minutes later the doctor came out. "Mr. Calloway, I have some news for you. Your wife is fine." Mark breathed a sigh of relief. "She will, however, have to watch things for a while."

"What do you mean?"

"She haz to take it easy, at least until the baby comes."

Maggie came out, the biggest smile radiating from her face. For a few seconds neither said a word. Mark picked her up off the floor, then set her down gently.

Glen slapped Mark on the back. "It's about time." Sharon hugged Maggie. "See, you just had to let it happen," she whispered in Maggie's ear.

On the way home, Sharon held the twins. Glen looked in the rearview mirror and chuckled. Sharon turned and smiled. "Well, honey, I think Christmas has arrived again." "Yes, it has," Glen said.

Maggie and Mark sat behind them, not hearing a word they said as they began making plans for the new life to come.
